Hello neighbors, I'm Steven [email protected]. Today, we're looking at this Thule Track Rack, Van Ladder Rack. It's a two bar ladder rack and it's rated to 500 pounds. Now folks, this van ladder rack will let you carry ladders, lumber, add many, many more with ease.

It's got a very nice aerodynamic design that's gonna help reduce drag, wind noise, that kind of stuff. So as you can see, they're kind of streamlined, elliptical shaped, and also they're very quick, easy install on top of your roof van. Now, I wanna pop up a picture of this kind of installed on a van and it's a mockup image that we use here at etrailer, but the dimensions for this particular kit are accurate. You can pause this video and go to this if you need to write them down or double check 'em, or you can scroll down on the product page and this image should be on the product page as well. Now, getting back to the rack itself, folks, you're gonna get two load bars here.

They are made of aluminum. They're very nice reinforced. It's all custom made here in the US and it has a nice limited lifetime warranty. The bars themselves are 53 inches long and you're gonna get two of 'em and fully assembled like this back here, they are 30 pounds for the set, so 15 pounds per one. So this guy here is 15 pounds.

As I mentioned before, they are made of 6,000 series aluminum construction, super strong, super durable, but lightweight. They're not gonna de track from your load rate on your vehicle and they have a nice internal design that's gonna give a more structure. So I'll kind of spin this so you can kind of see that. So that kinda eye design goes all the way down through that channel. And as far as the load bars here or the load stops, as you can see, you can slide these the full length of the bar.

They simply tighten down by hand and prevent 'em from moving once you've got 'em where you want, and like I said, you can put 'em all the way in out one side, other side, it's very, very simple to use, very fast, very simple. You can tie down straps on the hooks inside the holes, inside the triangles here, however you want to do it, whatever's most convenient for you. Now, these slotted crossbars do also accept a wide variety of your Thule track rack accessories. You can purchase additional tie downs, more load stops like these and many, many other things, just check out the website etrailer.com for those. Now, I wanna point out also that everything here has a dual stage powder coat finish, that's gonna add an extra rust protection, corrosion resistant. Everything is also then followed by a clear coat to give it an improved resistant to scratches, UV light, that kind of stuff as well. Now, like I said, they do mount pretty quickly to the top of your van. Let me zoom in here and show you the hardware. So all the hardware is included. Keep in mind, I've got one whole kit back here in the back put together kind of loosely, and it's a very simple design. You'll get these pads, you'll get four of 'em. And again, I've got two installed already. You'll take this guy here. it's very simple. You basically just follow the instructions. This guy goes in here, it'll pop into place like so. You'll take two small bolts, you'll put this onto this guy, you'll bolt those two down, and then once you've got that mounted to the van, you can put the crossbar over this guy. You tighten that guy down onto the bar and then you simply take one of these plastic cover cases, it simply snaps in place. And then once you got that on, you can insert this plastic key core and that just kind of blocks everything inside as far as the bolt to tighten and loosen this. Now you can purchase actual lock cores sold separately. You can get those key alike and you can find them on the website as well. These small gray guys here, those are for the end caps. Those will go on the end of the bar once you've got everything assembled. So again, I've got that plastic cap off of the leg just because it's not attached to anything right now, it's not gonna really stay in place.
