Hey, it's Trevor with etrailer. Today we're taking a look at our Bestop Sunrider. Now, if you're a Jeep owner and you like the versatility of a soft top, but you're stuck with the hardtop here, this is gonna give you a great option to just be able to lift back the hatch every once in a while. And say you get into unexpected rain, now you don't have to worry about trying to get those big, clunky panels back installed. You can simply just reach up, pull this thing back down, and then clip it in place and keep going. Now, I did mention earlier that it is pretty easy to open this up.
All you have to do is reach up here, grab this handle, wait for that click. (handle clicks) All that click is, is that hook coming back into place and being free of this. You do that on both sides here, and then push it up. And once that's up, you're good to go. All right, now this is gonna be a black diamond acrylic fabric, so it's gonna be all year, all round.
You're never gonna have to worry about pulling this off for any reason. Now, this is gonna be pretty easy to open. It's not too heavy, so you don't have to worry about pulling it from here or here. No matter where you pull it from, you're still gonna have the same amount of leverage. And a nice thing about this top too, is they kept Jeep owners in mind with these straps.
They're only really intended for whenever you go offroading, for example, or say you wanna pull the whole roof off, you can just put this strap in here to keep this nice and tight here, so that when you're going down the road, you don't have to worry about it slamming shut on you. Now, another nice thing about this top is, say you don't have a lot of mechanical experience, this isn't too difficult to actually get installed on the vehicle itself. It's an easy, no-drill installation, with putting bolts through all the factory mounting points on the vehicle. And if it still sounds a little daunting to you, you can also head over and check out the installation I did on this vehicle as well. Now, I do think this is gonna be a great cover if you like to have the versatility of a soft top while also having a hardtop Jeep.
The finish on this looks great, and the fabric feels fantastic, and it also matches this back hatch very nicely as well. The only thing I don't really like, is the first step of the installation is a little bit finicky. You kinda have to play with it a little bit, but once you get past that, the rest of it's a breeze. Now, my name's Trevor here at etrailer, and that was a quick overview of the Bestop Sunshade.
