Video Transcript for Auburn University Chrome Logo Emblem 2" Hitch Cover Review

Today we're going to be taking a look at the Auburn University two inch hitch cover from AMG. The hitch cover is going to allow you to show your school pride, it's going to add a clean finished look to your hitch, and it's going to help keep dirt and grime out of the receiver tube of your hitch. The hitch cover is made from a steel construction. It's going to feature a really nice, black, powder coat finish which is going to do a great job at resisting rust and corrosion. Here at the front we're going to have a chrome plated metal emblem. It's going to feature a rust proof and fade proof design. The hitch cover is made in the USA.

On the back side we're going to have a foam gasket that goes around the area that slides into, or around, the piece that slides into the hitch. That foam gasket is going to do a great job at reducing rattling between the hitch and the hitch cover. This is an officially licensed product. To get it fully installed it does require a hitch pin and clip or a hitch lock. Those items are sold separately, but if you need one you can find it right here at etrailer.com. The pin holes on the hitch cover will accept the standard 5/8" diameter pin. A few measurements to go over with you really quick.

Here at the hitch cover face it's going to give us an overall width measurement of about five inches, with an overall height measurement of about three and a half inches. The distance that we have from the back of the foam pad to the center of the hitch pin holes is going to measure pretty close to two and a half inches. Now, this is designed for a two inch by two inch hitch. Very simple installation, just slide it in to the receiver tube of your hitch, line up your pin holes, and then secure it with a hitch pin and clip or a hitch lock.
