Video Transcript for Complete Breakdown of the Alabama Chrome Mascot Emblem 2" Hitch Cover

Today we're going to be taking a look at the University of Alabama 2" hitch cover from AMG. This hitch cover is going to allow you to show your school pride. It's going to add a clean, finished look to your hitch and it's going to help keep dirt and grime out of the receiver tube of your hitch. The hitch cover is going to be made from a steel construction. It's going to feature a really nice, black powder coat finish on it which is going to do a great job at resisting rust and corrosion. Right here on the front, we're going to have the really nice, detailed, chrome plated, metal emblem. It says Alabama and then Crimson Tide right underneath it.

It's going to be a rust proof and fade proof design. This product is made right here in the USA. It's also going to feature a foam gasket. This is going to help reduce rattle between the hitch cover and the hitch. It's an officially licensed product. To get this fully installed, it does require a hitch pin and clip or a hitch lock for installation.

Those items are sold separately but if you need one, you can find them right here at Etrailer.com. The pin hole on this hitch cover will accept a standard 5/8" diameter pin. A few measurements to go over with you real quick, starting with the overall width of the face. That's going to give us a measurement of about 5". Overall height is going to give us a measurement of about 3 1/2" and then the distance that we have from the back of the foam pad to the center of the hitch pin hole is going to measure about 2 1/2". This is designed for a 2" x 2" trailer hitch receiver.

Very simple installation; all you have to do is slide it into the receiver tube of your hitch, line up your pin holes with the pin holes in the receiver tube and then secure it with the hitch pin and clip or a hitch lock.
