Padded, Ratcheting Hooks

ratcheting hooks

The Sport Rider SE mast has a pair of ratcheting hooks that hold your bikes securely by the top tube. And because they move independently, you can carry bikes of different shapes and sizes. The hooks have soft padding that won't scratch or scuff your bike's paint.

Adjustable Wheel Hoops

wheel hoops

The rack has wheel hoops that provide a stable base for mounting your bikes. Each hoop has a hand knob that lets you easily slide it along the tray to accommodate your bike's wheelbase.

Folding, Tilting Design

tiltingfolding

The rack tilts down with your bikes loaded. So, whether you're at the trail or the grocery store, you don't have to remove your bikes to access your cargo area. It also folds up when not in use. This leaves a smaller footprint, so you can keep the rack on your vehicle to park in your garage. And if you want to remove it, it doesn't take up as much space to store it.

Tool-Free Installation with Anti-Rattle System

install with handle

The rack installs in your hitch without the need for tools. Simply slide the shank into your receiver until the welded stop plate contacts the hitch. The stop plate saves you from getting on your hands and knees to align the pin holes while inserting the hitch pin. Once the pin is in place, attach the lock pod. Lastly, use the integrated anti-wobble handle on the front of the shank to tighten the rack inside your hitch receiver and prevent it from rattling.

Complete Security for Bikes and Rack

install with handle

The ratcheting hooks have lock cores in the release buttons so you can secure your bikes to the rack. Simply slide the hooks over your bikes' top tubes until they click and lock them in place. There is also a keyed-alike locking hitch pin that secures the rack to your vehicle.

  • Can the Hollywood Racks Sport Rider SE Bike Rack Be Used with Step Through Bikes
We have a solution for you either way but the Hollywood Racks Sport Rider SE Bike Rack # HLY84FR may or may not work with your particular step through bikes. There are different styles of step through bikes and depending on how low the step through is, the ratcheting arm on the Hollywood Racks Sport Rider SE Bike Rack # HLY84FR may go down low enough to secure the bike or it may be a little short. However, if the ratcheting arm does not go down low enough on your particular bike we do...

  • Can Hollywood Racks Destination Bike Rack Be Used for E-Bikes
The Hollywood Racks Destination Bike Rack # HLY94FR can support up to 35 lb bikes so since you're needing to carry E-Bikes you need the Hollywood Racks Destination E Bike Rack # HLY66ZR instead, which is rated for up to 70 lb bikes. I know the price difference between those racks is quite a jump so for a mid-tier option we have the Hollywood Racks Sport Rider SE Bike Rack for 2 Electric Bikes # HLY84FR, which can support up to 80 lb bikes and still secures bikes by the frame. • Recommended Bike Rack for Electric Step Thru Bikes
Hey Anthony thanks for stopping by! The Hollywood Racks Sport Rider SE # HLY84FR will work fine with your step thru bikes, but you're also going to need an adapter bar # HRBA-PRO. If you're not sold on the Sport Rider SE, then I'd suggest going with the Hollywood Racks RV Rider # HLY64FR. This rack is very similar to the SportRider SE but does not require the adapter bar for step thru bikes. Both racks can handle the exact same size bikes, so whichever you choose you'll be set! If there...

  • How To Carry E-Bikes and Flat-Tow a Vehicle on the Back of an RV
In order to both carry bikes and flat-tow a vehicle at the same time, you'd need to use an adapter on the motorhomes hitch, I recommend the Roadmaster Dual Hitch Receiver Adapter like part # RM-077-2 as it's designed for this exact purpose. In order to choose the correct one, you'll need to make sure your tow bar is within 3" of level while using the adapter. The above offers a 2-1/4" drop but if you need a different one you can choose from the list below. If you don't know how much drop...

For your 2018 Jeep Wrangler JL, the Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Class III - 2" # DT78MR is a great option made by the same manufacturer as Reese components. The Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Class III - 2" # C13392 is also a great fit for your Jeep with the rear spare and has a thicker powder coat but a lesser tongue weight rating. Either option will work well for your bike rack. Both the Curt and Draw-Tite hitch receiver options will require...

Hi Mark, So I scoured every bike rack option, and unfortunately one with the exact configuration doesn't exist, for a couple reasons. The issue is being rated for an RV, weight capacity for ebikes, and especially the fenders, as the Thule rack you mentioned is wheel-mounted so won't work with fenders. If you're okay going with a 2-bike rack, there isn't an option for one with a ramp, but there is one with an electric lift if your Winnebago has a 7-way, the Saris Door County Bike Rack for...

The Hollywood Racks Sport Rider SE2 # HR1450Z that you currently have and the SE2 # HR1450E that you referenced are essentially the same bike rack with one major difference. Your existing SE2 rack is a great carrier that features a weight capacity of 50 pounds per bike, which is really quite robust for a standard platform rack. The SE # HLY84FR on the other hand is specifically designed for electric bikes, which can get pretty heavy. This particular model rack can secure two bikes that...

  • Recommended Bicycle Cover for Carrying Electric Bike on Rear of Motorhome
I'm glad you like your Hollywood Racks # HLY84FR! Hollywood Racks does a fine job of building tough-as-nails bike racks. For your bike, I'd recommend using the Swagman # S24FR. However, the bag is designed for 2 bikes, so if you used it with one bike, you'd need to use bungees or something to take up some of the slack of the cover, otherwise it will be flapping around in the breeze which is not only annoying, but also causes wear and tear on the cover. The cover is designed to be used behind...

I have a few different bikes racks for you that will carry e-bikes with fenders. That said, you will need to go with a frame mount style as you can't use a wheel mount bike rack on a bike with fenders. The best option for you will be the Hollywood Racks Sport Rider SE 2 Electric Bike Rack part # HLY84FR which has an 80 lb per bike weight capacity and soft padded frame hooks so you don't have to worry about rubbing. • 2019 Mercedes-Benz Sprinter 2500 Bike Rack Recommendation for Swing Away Adapter
No, you do not want to use the Thule EasyFold XT # TH903202 with the Yakima BackSwing part # Y02483 because of that 2" solid shank requirement. If your bike doesn't have a front fender then you can use the BackSwing with a rack like the Kuat Transfer V2 # KU84FR or NV 2.0 Base # BA22B. I really like the Kuat line of bike racks because they put a lot of thought into the designs so you get great quality and easy-to-use racks. Attached are review videos of both for you to check out.

  • What Single Bike Rack do You Recommend for My 4.8 Inch Wide Fat Tire E-Bike?
From the looks of your recent searches, you are looking for a 1-bike wheel-mount hitch bike rack for your electric fat bike with 4.8 inch tires. For a great rack that fits your needs, I recommend the Saris MHS Modular Bike Rack for 1 Bike - 1-1/4" and 2" Hitches - Tilting # SAR23MR. With a bike as heavy as 72 pounds, we only have two options able to carry that much. The first is the Hollywood Racks Sport Rider Se, part # HLY84FR. It's a platform-style, frame-mount rack capable of holding 2 bikes up to 80 pounds each. I've linked to a video review of this below. The second is the Lets Go Aero V-Lectric FAT PRO, part # LGA77FR. • E-Bike Rack Recommendation that Could Possibly Carry an 85 lb Bike
Hey Dixie! Thanks for the kind words from a fellow Missourian! So your situation is kind of tough for a single bike rack solution as we technically do not have a bike rack that can carry an 85 lb bike at this time. The highest rated option is the Hollywood Racks Sport Rider part # HLY84FR which has an 80 lb per bike rating. So this could work with your 85 lb e-bike only if you took the battery out and it weighed more than 5 lb. There isn't a swing away option for this rack either. Does...

  • Will the Thule Apex Work with 2 E-Bikes
Amy, it would depend on the bikes. If each of your e-bikes weighed less than 37.5 lbs, and didn't have any fat tires, then yes you could use the Thule Apex Swing XT Bike Rack for 4 Bikes # TH9027XT. But if you're just hauling two bikes, I wouldn't recommend a 4 bike rack. I'd recommend using a two bike rack like # HLY84FR which is designed to carry two e-bikes.

  • Troubleshooting A Hollywood Racks Anti-Rattle Lever That Faces Down
To change the end position of the anti-rattle lever you would need to remove the rack from your hitch and turn the lever to a new starting position. I looked up several pictures of Hybrid Giant bikes like you have and the ones with lower water bottle locations would interfere with the frame clamps of the Saris Freedom 2 Bike Platform Rack # SA4412B most likely so the Saris platform bike rack I would recommend instead is the SuperClamp EX 2 part # SA4025F which grabs the bikes by the tires instead which would definitely not interfere with the water bottle holder and also would prevent the rack from touching your frame which would protect...

  • Availability of Bike Rack for 85 lb E-Bikes
Hey Mike! The wheelbase varies from bike rack to bike rack. The only rack that can hold that much weight is the Saris MHS DUO # SAR73MR with a capacity of 100 lbs per bike. However, the max wheelbase on this rack is 53" so you're just a little too long. If you can pull batteries off of those then you can use the Hollywood Racks Sport Rider SE # HLY84FR. This bike rack can hold 80 lbs per bike and works with a wheelbase up to 60" so yours won't be a problem. What kind of e-bikes do you have?

If that is too much I recommend pulling the battery so it is easier to lift. Also, now that I see the full frame of your particular TotGuard you will likely need the # HRBA-PRO as well.
