Hi, everybody. Andy here with etrailer. Let's take a quick look at this Dometic FreshJet 3 15,000 BTU Black RV Air Conditioner. Now, if you're looking to replace an old RV air conditioner or add a brand new one, this unit is designed to make the upgrade simple and worthwhile. This is going to cool down the inside of your RV quickly and efficiently. It's going to work with both ducted and ductless system.

It all depends on the air distribution box that you're going to use with this. So, this is designed to fit a wide variety of setups. Now, I do wanna point out that this does use the new R-32 refrigerant, which does meet the 2025 EPA regulations. So, because of that, this will not be backwards compatible with any AC system or component from 2024 and earlier. So, your air distribution box, your thermostat, your control box, all of those items will all have to be compliant with the R-32 refrigerant.

So, if your previous setup was not R-32, then those items such as like the air distribution box, will not be compatible with this unit, so just so you're aware of that. Performance-wise, you're going to get a solid 15,000 BTU cooling power and a 500 CFM of airflow, and that's all packed in this compact footprint. And, let me give you some measurements while we're here. So, looking at the overall width from end to end here at the widest point, about 27 and seven eight inches wide, the overall height is right at about 14 and a half inches or so. And then, the overall length from back to front about 29 and three quarters inches long.

And so, what really sets us apart is the custom blower system. This is going to push out strong, consistent airflow that spreads cool air evenly throughout your RV. So, no more hotspots or uneven cooling. And even with all that performance, this runs quieter than a lot of traditional units. It's gonna help keep your RV peaceful instead of noisy.

And, it's also engineered to use less refrigerant than older AC designs, which can lower your operating cost over time. Durability is built in as well. The coils are coated to resist corrosion. Our cover is made of a tough black plastic to shield important components from water and debris and you can remove it if you want to by removing the screws. And then, that's going to allow you to pop this cover off and do any cleaning or maintenance that you need to do. And then the cover will be easily replaced and just tighten down those screws and you'll be good to go. So, this weighs about 65 pounds or so and it's going to fit the standard 14 and a quarter by 14 and a quarter inch roof openings. And then it can accommodate roof thicknesses from one and a half inches to six inches thick. This is UL certified, so it's gonna meet safety standards and is intended for use on motor homes, travel trailers, and fifth wheels, but it's not been approved for use on school buses, food trucks or utility trailers or off-road vehicles. Wanted to give you a view here of the wiring harness and you'll just obviously pull this through the roof opening on your camper or RV. You got nice, thick foam pads here at the bottom as well that will cushion it from vibration. So, it's really designed to run quietly on top of your RV or camper. Installation's gonna be pretty straightforward. Again, this does not include anything additional. This is strictly for the AC unit. So, the bolts typically will come with the air distribution box that's going to be fitted for your particular setup.
