Features to know about

2-Way AC and Propane Operation

This is an absorption-style refrigerator that operates on either 120V AC shore power or LP gas. When you are plugged in at a campground, it runs on AC. When you are off-grid or traveling between stops, it switches to propane to maintain cooling without draining your house batteries. Unlike 12V compressor refrigerators that rely heavily on battery capacity, this design uses heat to drive the cooling process. That makes it a practical choice for extended dry camping where conserving battery power matters.

Video Transcript for Review of Norcold RV Refrigerators - Polar N7X RV Refrigerator Without Door Panels - NC96VR

Hi, everybody, Andy here with etrailer. Let's take a quick look together at this Norcold Polar N7X RV Refrigerator. Now, we do have a few different options available for this particular refrigerator. As you can see, I have the one here that has the black door panels already installed in the door. So if that's one that you want, I have the part number there for you. But we also have this available without the door panels.

And so if that's something that you're looking for, you're not needing these particular door panels, maybe you already have door panels, I have the part number there for you for the fridge without the door panels. And maybe you already have this fridge and you're looking for replacement door panels in black, whether it's the top or the bottom. So I also have those part numbers there for you, as well. We sell the top and bottom panels separately, not together. So again, just take the appropriate part number that you're looking for, pop it in the search field or our website.

That will take you to that item that you're looking for, and you can add that to your order. But this fridge is gonna give you the flexibility to keep food cold, whether you're plugged into shore power or you're camping off-grid. This is sitting a little bit taller during our time together here because I've got it on a floor dolly, so I can have the flexibility here just to give you a 360 and show you all the angles here. So just keep in mind it's sitting a little bit taller for me than it will for you. So this is gonna be able to run on either your 120-volt AC power or propane.

And this has seven cubic feet of storage and pretty spacious top freezer. There's gonna be enough room to stock maybe about a week's worth of groceries for an extended trip. So quite a bit of space for you for the size of this fridge. This is also designed to be convenient in everyday use. Let me see if I can give you a slightly closer view here, a slightly different angle here for you.

Now, we do have LCD temperature controls here that are positioned in such a way that you're not gonna have to be looking around for them. It's gonna be very easy to see and control and operate. And the automatic frost limiting system is gonna help reduce ice buildup and the need for frequent defrosting. So let me go ahead and pop these doors open here just to give you a view. So inside the fridge, we have shelves here. They're gonna be adjustable. And you have quite a bit of adjustability. These are wire shelves and they're coated. So I think they're gonna hold up really well for you. And at the bottom here, we've got a glass shelf with a crisper drawer. And then on the doors, we've got some shelving here. The bottom shelf has kind of like a wire restrainer here that'll be good for your taller items. Whether it's soda, drinks, or condiments, you won't have to worry about it trying to flip out. Inside of our freezer, it's a pretty nice size freezer. You do have one rack here, but that's gonna be adjustable, and then a shelf on the inside of the door, as well. And this is going to stay closed when you have it closed. To open it, there's a little release here on the freezer door here. And on the fridge door, you'll just kind of pull back on that, and then that's going to allow you to open that up just like that. Now, on the outside here, you're gonna be able to. What's nice is it does kind of have a modern look. So speaking of these handles, they don't stick out or anything like that. They're gonna be nice and recess out of the way. Give you kind of a streamlined, built-in appearance. But overall, this is gonna be a great option to consider if you're looking for good storage capacity for the size of fridge that we have here, off-grid flexibility, especially with the propane feature; and RV-friendly features without a lot of extra maintenance. Let me give you some overall measurements here before we wrap up our time together. Looking at the overall height, and again, remember this is sitting a little bit higher for me, we're gonna be sitting pretty close to 54 1/2 inches tall. And then the overall length or width, however you'd like to identify that particular measurement, about 24 5/8 inches. And then the overall depth, and I tried to include all of the back matter here, as well, in that depth measurement, I was sitting really close 26 inches deep all the way to the front of the fridge. Now, if you're interested in this fridge but maybe you're not real excited about doing the install yourself, that's okay, because on this product page, typically underneath the photo section, we have a link that will take you to our installer locator. Click that link, answer the questions that it has for you, and that locator will find an installer in your area that etrailer has partnered with to get this installed. I think that's gonna wrap up our look today. Again, my name's Andy. Thank you for joining me.

I am missing the black door panel inserts. There was 2 choices stainless or black. I had chosen black. I have been in contact with Taelor in customer service to resolve the issue

I'm sorry about that Kent. We're arranging to have those panels shipped from the manufacturer.

Excellent product, too bad The original panels off the old refrigerator did not fit, but with a little creative ingenuity. I modified them and it looks fantastic. Thank you for the great service.

  • Replacement for Dometic RM 2652 In Wilderness Lite 25J
Hey Jeff! It looks like the Dometic RM2652 fits an opening approximately 53-3/4" tall x 23-11/16" wide x 24" deep. I do recommend measuring just to verify these dimensions. The closest replacement we currently offer is the Norcold Polar N7X RV Refrigerator # NC96VR. This is a gas/electric absorption refrigerator similar to your original Dometic, and will fit inside that same space. Did your original Dometic give out or are you looking for an upgrade?

It also fits the same size enclosure, with the N7X requiring an opening 52-7/8" to 53" tall x 23-1/2" to 23-5/8" wide x 24" deep. If you're looking to move away from the propane/electric setup and switch over to a 12V refrigerator instead, just let me know in the comments...

Hey Craig! No, there is not an adapter that will convert the Norcold Polar Full RV Refrigerator w Freezer - 8.2 Cu Ft - 12V - Stainless Steel - Left Hand Doors # NC63FR to AC power, so instead you will need a fridge that has a 120V plug in order to safely power this fridge in your Apex 265RBSS.
