My items shipped almost immediately. Unfortunately, the hitch was wrapped in plastic and nothing more. The exposed receiver has 2 silver marks that will be sure to be attention getters. The parts bag, that was taped to the receiver, has a hole larger than the size of the nuts. I sure hope none fell out! I'll find out this weekend. Pretty cheezy packaging!

Oh no! I am sorry to hear that the hitch arrived scratched. I will have our Customer Service team reach out to you about the scratches and to make sure that you have all the hardware. I recommend touching up the affected area with a rust resistant paint like Rustoleum.

I called customer service with what I thought was an issue with the hitch. Turns out the [online] video wasn't as good as the written instructions. Customer service was very helpful and was standing by to help solve the problem but I found my mistake. Good product, price, and delivery too!
Everything you need to get going, Installation is easy although it took me longer because I was on my own and on my back. But all the instructions are spot on.
Be warned! Not an easy install by yourself unto a 2015 Volvo XC60.
Hitch arrived via UPS with ends poking out the box.
First of all, heat shielding has to be trimmed where the hitch mounts to the frame. It’s very difficult to mark the area to be cut accurately.
Secondly, it’s easy to mix up the bolt and spacer combination as you fish them through the access holes. I messed up the long bolt and short bolt locations and had to redo them.
Thirdly, who comes up with a 11/16” bolt to use as hardware? One of these nuts were in a location where a deep well socket was too long, standard socket was too shallow as the thread protrusion was too much and no space to get a wrench in there to do anything. Ended up using a stubby ratchet and not fully connecting the socket to tighten the best I could. Definitely not enough torque on it at this moment and will have to go back and figure out something.
If I had a redo, I should have purchased the factory hitch.
Hitch was delivered fast and with all the needed hardware. I found the install was quick and easy. The directions were easy to follow and correct. Also, got a wire harness and it was just the same as the hitch... Perfect. Love etrailer!!!!
I've put an eTrailer hitch on my last three vehicles, saving a ton of money and I couldn't be happier with the product.
Mechanic installed hitch in 2 hours. Said fit like it was planned.
Glad i bought the hitch. Everything fits, is strong and solid, easy to install without doing anything to the car itself. I got Volvo electronics instead of 3rd party wiring. Only negative was having to get Volvo dealer to 'patch' for the added wiring. Otherwise, i now have use of a light trailer without problems and at a reasonable cost. i recommend this product.

Trailer hitch for my 2015.5 XC60 installed without problem and pulls my 6x8 trailer just fine. Very satisfied and dont know why i waited so long. Yeah, Volvo dealer patch was a downside.
Hitch hasnt moved. Bolts stayed tight and works perfect.
Most difficult part on the Volvo XC60 is removing and reinstalling the exhaust decorative panels with the T15 hex. No room to work. Those steps took more than half the install time.
Great communication from order to delivery. I am a repeat customer so I knew going into this purchase that the product itself is good quality. I have not installed yet, which will be more telling; but at this point, I am pleased.
The receiver itself appears solid and fits into a very tight space on my Volvo XC60 precisely. However I'm only giving three stars due to the installation process. Using the fishing wire to locate the plates and bolts is easy enough for the middle bolt, however, the front and rear were very difficult. A much easier approach is to remove the rear bumper fascia and metal sub-fascia pieces. YT videos show how. It's relatively quick and easy. This allows direct access to the open end of the channel that the receiver mounts to. Now you can place all the plates and bolts by hand. No need for the fish wire. It gives you much more room to work in. Another tip in installing the back bolt is to make sure the receiver is pushed as far forward as possible and that the front and middle bolts are snugged up. This aligns the mounting hole on the receiver with the hole in the channel on the vehicle.
Built solid, and the instructions, particularly the videos, were highly detailed. I was able to install it myself in an afternoon. Just needed my wife to help lift it when it came time to bolting it on.
One word of caution is that a 90 degree impact attachment was necessary for me to get enough power to tighten up some hard to access screws and bolts.
