Tongue Weight etrailer Hitch # e95AR for 2010 Volvo XC60

Question:
I have a Volvo xc 60 t6, I want to install a class 2 hitch. I see the tw is 400. I wanted to use a hitch-mounted dual motorcycle carrier, the total weight of the carrier and the dirtbikes will be approximately 510lbs. Do I have any options

Hello Rafael.
The etrailer Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Matte Black Finish - Class III - 2" # e95AR can handle a tongue weight of 400 lbs, this does not mean that your vehicle can handle that amount of weight. You will need to check your owners manual on the recommended tongue weight for the 2010 Volvo XC60. You definitely do not want to haul more weight than what the hitch or your vehicle can handle, this can cause something to fail in the hitch or the vehicle and you really don't want to lose your dirt bikes, or even worst cause an accident.
