The material is strong and feels heavy worked great to tow my little trailer and tool box. However, the installation is an entirely different story! The bar was about two inches narrower then the frame. The bolts provided where to short to make up the difference. There were no spacers to help either. I triple checked to make sure that what I ordered is what was sent and that this is the correct 20min install unit. Sadly it was. I recommend that you measure the gap between frame rails and then make the company measure to ensure you get the right size.
Easy install. No problems. Easy to get answers by phone. Most important, would certainly order again. Videos were great. Trailer hitch and wiring harness for a 2008 Kia Sorento EX.
I liked it gor the short time i had it.
I was pulling my Harley. And a man hit me from behind at a red light, he put his truck up on my trailer with my Hsrlwy. The csr jacknifef. And the tow hitch was pushed up under my car.
This trailer hitch is awesome!! So easy to install! It took me approx 45 mins by myself with nothing but a socket wrench. I could have finished the install quicker but I didn’t lift up the back of my Sorento, I didn’t drop down the spare tire, just held the hitch in place and screwed on the 4 bolts. In hindsight if I had something to prop up one side of the hitch that would have made the install easier but as it was, I was able to complete it with no issues. Friendly tip: 1) use a q-tip to clean out the threads in the frame before trying to screw in the bolts. Mine had lots of grease and dirt that had to go. 2) tear open the box and fold it flat to use to lay on while putting on the hitch. I have a drive way and this made the process much easier also.
I put the hitch on my Kia Sorrento to haul around my pop-up and drift boat trailers. Installation went ok. I had to bend the fins slightly to get a flush fit and my frame threads were very rusty so I bought a tap and re-threaded two bolt holes. It's seen every season and a good amount of action... for pulling smaller lighter loads and cargo carriers it has absolutely been what I expected. For price, installation, and quality of build I have been very pleased.
I was amazed by how quickly the trailer hatch was delivered. I installed the trailer hitch less than 30 minutes with no issues. I don't know why I didn't purchase one year ago. I am happy and satisfied with the hitch. The hitch is constructed well.
Doesn't fit, just tried putting it on but there's literally 1 inch gap. Not sure what I'm supposed to do
Product was just as described, installation would have been quicker if I had followed the video installation advice and cleaned the frame nuts prior to putting 3 out of the 4 bolts on. I also purchased the wiring harness, and it was a 5 minute install. Clean look, trailering the boat felt comfortable and solid. Delivery was quick, tracking easy. If I ever need another hitch, etrailer will be my first stop.
Item came to me in a timely fashion and was exactly what I expected. The video instructions made installation so easy that I could do it.
Great fit!! Extremely fast delivery as well! I’m so glad I ordered from e trailer!! My son can now pull trailers without having to take my vehicle! Only wish I’d bought it sooner.
Hitch fit with no problem, used a couple of Jack stands to hold up, lined up holes, screwed in bolts, tighten with ratchet wench, did not even have to adjust muffler. Put on in less then 20 minutes.
Perfect fit. Took maybe 45 minutes to install the hitch and wire harness. My only suggestion is that it's pretty important to clean the threads thoroughly. I used a thread tap and some machine oil and the mounting bolts went in and torqued with no problems.
This hitch was a snap to put on. I just backed my truck on my ramps and lowered the spare tire. Let the front of the hitch rest on the tire while I lifted the back of it to put in the bolts on each side. Raised the hitch and put the other bolts in and.....Ta Da, I was done. I think it make our truck look tougher. Pulling trailers is so awesome. We always mention to our friends where we ordered ours. We are Very, Very satisfied with our etrailer hitch.
Installed myself, managed to get it hooked up without removing the rubber exhaust mount. Would be easier with a second person but can be done solo.

Excellent hitch and perfect fit.
This is a good trailer. Easy to hook up and good customer service. We have used it mostly to haul a bike rack but have used it for a uhaul trailer and it went fine the full 400 miles. If your car is old like mine, you'll have to clean the holes out in your car well for the screws to fit.
Great product easy to put on about 20 m inutes
This fit on my 2005 KIA Sorento perfectly. I lowered the spare down and had plenty of room to work. The stock KIA exhaust did need some spacers on the factory hangers so it does not touch the hitch. That was all explained in the etrailer videos. I am so happy with the product and the support. Right after it arrived I received an email with a link to instructions. Very helpful!
