Features to know about

Keeps Every Trailer Level: Adjustable 8" Drop and 9" Rise

When you switch between trailers, matching heights can be tricky. This adjustable ball mount makes it easy with up to an 8" drop or 9" rise in 1" increments, so every trailer sits level behind your tow vehicle. The solid aluminum shank slides smoothly in your 2-1/2" receiver, and once you’ve got the right height set, the dual locking pins keep everything tight and secure. Level trailers track straighter and tow safer, no matter what you’re hauling.

Handles Serious Loads: 18,500-lb Rating on the 2-5/16" Ball

Big trailers and heavy loads demand strength you can trust. The 180 Hitch is built from 6061 T6 billet aluminum with a chrome-plated steel combo ball rated for 18,500 lbs gross towing weight on the 2-5/16" ball and 8,000 lbs on the 2" ball. With a maximum tongue weight of 2,200 lbs, it’s more than ready for hauling large campers or equipment trailers. The heavy, solid design gives confidence every time you hitch up.

Switch Trailers Fast: Dual Hitch Balls in One Mount

No more fumbling with separate hitch balls or tools when you change trailers. The dual-sided platform holds both a 2" and a 2-5/16" chrome-plated ball—just pull the pins, flip the platform, and reinsert. It’s quick and simple for anyone towing multiple trailer types. Both balls stay attached to the platform, so they’re always where you need them when it’s time to hook up again.

Stows Out of the Way: Flip Design for Clean Storage

When you’re done towing, this mount tucks neatly under your truck for a clean look and extra clearance. Just remove the dual pins, flip the platform to the backside of the shank facing the vehicle, and lock it back in place. It stays mounted but out of your way—no more sore shins or cluttered bumpers when you’re not hitched up.

Built to Last: Black Cerakote Finish That Fights Corrosion

Road grime, salt, and debris can ruin most finishes fast. This hitch’s black Cerakote coating protects against chipping, wear, and corrosion while keeping the aluminum shank looking sharp. Paired with chrome-plated steel balls that resist rust and meet SAE J684 and VESC V-5 standards, it’s made to handle years of use without letting weather slow it down.

Video Transcript for Review of Weigh Safe Trailer Hitch Ball Mount - 180 Hitch 2 Ball Mount 2-1/2 Inch Cerakote - WS92VR

Hi, everybody. Andy here with etrailer.com. Let's take a look at this Weight Safe 180 hitch with two ball mount for your 2-1/2 inch trailer hitch receiver. This 180 hitch is going to slide into your 2-1/2 inch receiver. And it's going to give you a 2 inch and a 2-5/16 inch double-sided chrome-plated steel tow ball, making switching tow ball sizes very easy for you so you can tow different types of trailers, whether a small utility trailer, a camper, or a boat trailer. This dual functionality is going to eliminate the need for multiple hitches.

And then when you have the shank in this orientation, you're going to get a maximum drop of eight inches. Then when you flip this over, a maximum rise of nine inches with incremental adjustment of one inch. And so that's going to give you the height adjustability that you're looking for so you can tow trailers of different heights all with the same vehicle. So when you're towing with the 2-5/16 inch hitch ball, this has a gross towing capacity of 18,500 pounds. With the two inch ball, it's 8,000 pounds.

And then the maximum tongue weight for this unit is 2,200 pounds. So taking a closer look here, this hitch is constructed of aircraft aluminum, aircraft-grade aluminum rather, giving you superior strength and durability. And what I really like about this is it does feature this premium black Cerakote finish. It's a ceramic coating that's going to give you an extra layer of corrosion resistance, scratch protection, and durability. So not only does this finish make this hitch look great when it's mounted on the back of your vehicle, but if you tow in harsh environments such as salty winter roads or extreme weather conditions, this durable finish is going to help protect this hitch, keeping it looking great and helping it to function properly as it should for many years to come.

So let me go ahead and give you a brief demonstration of this dual pin slider lock. I'm gonna remove that included cap there. And I'm gonna go ahead and take one of the keys here, insert it into the lock, give it a turn here, and that's going to allow me to easily remove this lock. And notice I'm gonna turn that key back to the lock position that's going to allow me to remove it. While we have this out, I wanted to point out that our pins here are aluminum along with the housing and then our lock is plated steel, so this is going to be very durable.

It's gonna do a great job of holding up against the elements and it's going to resist corrosion. Now, notice how easily the ball platform slides up and down on this shank. It's gonna be a very smooth operation. I also wanted to show you that this is stowable, so I'm just going to flip this shank around here and slide it in the other way. So if you're not gonna be towing for a while, this is going to be a great option to have. You'll just flip this ball platform around and then when you walk around behind your truck, you're not gonna have to worry about accidentally banging your shin up against the ball platform. Obviously you'll take that dual slider pin, slide it back in, you wanna line up those holes, and then lock it into place and then that ball platform will be out of your way. Let me go ahead and flip this over to my 2-5/16 inch hitch ball and then I'm just gonna slide this back into place. And I'm gonna come back around the table here and replace my dual pin sliding lock. Now notice, again no key, and I do have this in the locked position, so I'm just gonna line up those holes and then push this into place. If you heard it, that's going to click and lock securely. So no need to keep that key in there to lock that into place. So this is going to be a very smooth operation. You're not going to be at the back of your truck struggling to get that height adjustment that you're looking for or switching tow ball sizes. It's gonna be very easy and very quick. Another added benefit that this features is a hitch pin lock and you are going to get four keys and everything is keyed alike, so one key's gonna operate your dual pin slider lock and your hitch lock, so it's gonna work in a very similar way. I'm just gonna go ahead and turn that key back to the locked position, remove the key and then this does have a cap here that's going to protect that keyway. And then when you're ready to lock this back up, you don't need that key in there. You'll just push it together and then you will be secured in your trailer hitch receiver. This comes built in with the options to secure the investment that you made here. You're gonna be able to securely lock up your ball platform to the hitch and then this entire unit to your trailer hitch receiver. Let me go ahead and give you some measurements. Measuring from the center of the first hitch pin hole to the center of our ball, we're sitting about 8-1/2 inches. Moving over to the center of the second hitch pin hole, we're sitting about 9-5/8 inches. And then from the center of our second hitch pin hole to the end of our shank, about 1-7/8 inches. This is SAE J684 certified and VESC Regulation V-5 compliant. So if you're looking for a hitch that's going to really be a great long-term investment, that's going to give you flexibility, it's gonna give you safety, especially because of the finish, added durability, and as you saw, it's gonna be very easy to use, this is really gonna be an excellent option for you to consider. Well, I think that's gonna wrap up our look today. I do hope that it was helpful for you. Again, my name is Andy. Thank you for joining me.

Missing parts and anti raddle would not fit my truck

Works like a charm exactly what I needed for my 2500 ZR2 Chevy Silverado. Having everything keto like is really convenient

This Cerakote finished W/S hitch is made in the USA and worth the extra cost IMO; recommend getting either the 6in or the 8in Drop for flexibility. 2200lb hitch and 18.5K LB tow rating is plenty for my RAM, 6.7 Cummins, 3/4 ton with 2.5inch receiver. I highly recommend this hitch.

Nice hitch, solid. Keys for pin and lock are keyed the same, so thats cool. 10" drop for my 2026 2500hd Silverado. Was probably more then I needed, 8" would have been close.

One thing with the 10" drop. The bottom is about even with the duel ball set up anyway, looks nice when stowed(reversed).

I recently used the Weigh Safe Cerakote Coated 180 Hitch with a 6" drop on a 1,300-mile trip, and it was fantastic. It handled everything—road grime, snow, salt, and mud—without ever looking dull or dingy.

The dual-ball design makes switching between trailers super easy, and the adjustable drop works perfectly to keep everything level. It was simple to install and felt solid and secure the whole trip. The locking pins kept everything safely attached to my truck, no worries about someone walking away with it. If you need a tough, reliable hitch that looks great and gets the job done, this one’s a no-brainer. Highly recommend!
