Pretty straight forward. I ordered the hitch it arrive when the company predicted and I had a hitch company install it. It appears everything is as it should be. Just have to determine the best way to release the trailer ball hitch from the vehicle hitch ball.
I am glad I found etrailer.com and ordered my receiver from them. Finding a receiver for a 1995 4Runner is not easy. etrailer.com had 2 models to choose from. I read the reviews from others and I picked one that was easy to install and required no drilling or welding. Even though our rear bumper was sagging a little from a rear end collision, the receiver was easy to put in and it bolted right up using the holes in the frame. The only thing I wish is that the bolts supplied should have a been tapered to make finding the welded nut on the receiver easier to find and align through the hole in the frame.

I can’t accurately rate the hitch since i haven’t installed it yet, but I can rate the shipping. The box arrived damaged. It was shipped via UPS and there is some cosmetic damage that chipped the powder coat and scarred the metal on the pieces that bolt to the frame. To be fair to UPS, it wasn’t packaged very well, allowing the heavy steel parts to move freely around inside the box the cardboard box.
Fits my 1995 Toyota Hilux (4Runner) perfectly and tows perfectly. Just the hitch I needed.
This Curt Trailer Hitch reciever was exactly what was neede and continues strong in it's capabilities, definite recommend!
A year later, still does the job. I use it to haul my back rack and 3 bikes. Never doubted it's ability to safely haul my load. I actually had a bit of difficulty installing the hitch but I called etrailer customer support and they helped walk me thru the process and it was pretty straightforward. It is definitely easier to install with 2 people.
This trailer hitch receiver fit my 1995 4Runner perfectly, that is, except for one thing that I'd like to share: if your rear bumper is dented because of an impact it probably means that something somewhere down there is not as it used to be. The bumper shows a dent or two, but the real issue is the frame that the bumper is bolted onto and while this hitch receiver has a sturdy build and a sleek finish it's ease of installment is completely reliant on you having a PRISTINE rear bumper.
However, I couldn't have gone with a better purchase and I would highly recommend etrailer to friends and family.
