This 1.5 inch in diameter frost plug heater is going to replace the core plug in your engine block and submerge in the coolant to keep your engine fluids from thickening, resulting in smoother startups and less wear and tear on your engine in cold weather.

I needed a frost plug core heater for my tractor. The one I bought did not have my tractor as an application. Just autos and trucks. The measurements were exactly what I needed as well as the wattage. I called a rep to confirm that the measurements were accurate and took a chance and bought it. Great product but took to long to get had to go purchase another one as temps were -35 c so no choice n
excellent for farm tractors; use on perkins diesels ,and simpson diesels; just installed and is working fine! a good one should last 20 years; the one I replaced (for a tractor from a tractor supply house lasted less than 2 YEARS, the one before had gone the 20 years) your block heater has a heavy duty cord and the threaded cuff lock down nut on the sender was an all time first for me, thanks. To use this kit 11409 your must already have the block bushing or the bushing for a block heater for this kit will be # 11461b and about $7.00. Right part number, wrong or defective threads. Seller refused a refund. I was out of the return policy window, but the product is unused and in original packaging. Defective and unusable. I would expect an exception to be made as this is a major job that has caused my car to be in the shop for weeks longer than it should have been. DO NOT RELY ON THEIR PARTS!!! extremely dissatisfied, I will never be ordering from this company again. Ordered another one from a different company, same part number and it thread right in, after my coolant was drained and water pump removed, sitting in the mechanics shops for WEEKS. cost me lots of time without a vehicle.
I am very satisfied. I had looked for awhile for this size and let me tell you, This company communicates and keeps you informed of your purchas and shipping. I installed this in a 1986 Massey Ferguson 3cyl diesel. No one else carries this size that I could find. I will buy from again.

Just what I ordered and great communica tion!
Easy to choose the correct engine block heater for my vehicle on their website. Great follow up throughout the delivery progress. Easy to install instructions, it corresponded well with the OEM detailed instruction. Everything required to complete the installation was included in the kit.
This review is for block heater KH11461 installed in a Mahindra 5010 with the 49 hp Daedong engine, after one year. This block heater came with the tapered bushing to fit in a 1 1/4" frost plug hole next to the starter. Tap out the frost plug (screwdriver, hammer) Tap in bushing (hammer piece of wood and sleeve retainer from NAPA). Screw in the block heater. Fill with antifreeze and run the engine to ensure there is no air in the cooling system to prevent burning out the heater. I also added a battery heater and trickle charger all on 1 cord permanently mounted under the hood. This now starts well below zero easily. etrailer has a video of this product.
Fit exatlly and the cord was long enouf , and arived on time . I am very happy with every thing and etrailer is very easy to work with . I would recumend their services and products . And Adam E is very good at his job he is truly an assett to your company .

Kat's is the only block heater company that could come up with a perfect fit for my application. I have spent months trying to find a block heater for my rig (on line & in person at parts houses) and nobody else had accurate information - all had the wrong freeze out plug diameters. Success at last!! Thank you Kats!!
Product arrived a day late. Actually, according to the only tracking that is offered by etailer reported it arrived on the date as expected only the product was not left on the porch as reported. I reported this to etrailer and phoned the local post office. The shipping number I had to get from etrailer. Post office said no such number is in the system. The package arrived the next day, with the number that was not in existence. Etailer had started the refund to my card. I had to call them back to again pay for the block heater. Seems the post office is suspect. I think a bit better transparency for the client to track the products would be an improvement.
Made in USA! The construction quality looks good. Way less expensive than the Subaru brand heater.
It was horrible. Lasted less than 1 week. Heating element burnt out. I got one warrantied and the second one was just as bad. etrailer did do a good job of handling warranty and replaced and refunded as needed. I will continue to shop etrailer, but never buy another product from Kat's

Product was not same as factory issue. Was not a direct replacement that I could see. $75 for product, $85 duties exchange taxes, an shipping. I dont really blame etrailer as I went to get proper heater a different supplier told me same thing etrailer had sent. Anyone wanna buy a heater lol
