When the back end of your suspension needs a solid mount, this spring keeper bolt gives you the strength and fit you can count on. The 1/2" diameter steel bolt attaches the leaf spring to the rear hanger so the slipper spring slides in smoothly and rests exactly where it should. It keeps the setup stable, letting the suspension move the way it’s designed to without shifting or binding.
Suspension hardware takes a beating over time, especially when the trailer is loaded heavy or runs rough roads. This 4-1/2" long, Grade 2 bolt holds up under pressure to keep the rear slipper spring connection tight and consistent. The 1/2"-20 threading gives a secure bite when paired with the matching locknut (sold separately), ensuring the spring stays locked in place mile after mile.
When worn or rusted bolts need swapping, this one fits right in. Designed specifically for mounting slipper springs inside rear hangers, it’s an easy way to bring the suspension back to full strength. Just slide the spring into place, run the bolt through, and secure it with the locknut. It’s a straightforward fix that keeps your trailer tracking straight and riding steady.

Speaker 1: Today we're gonna take a look at the four and a half inch-long spring keeper bolt for heavy-duty axles. This is a half-inch diameter spring retainer bolt. It's used to mount slipper springs inside the rear hanger. Basically, the slipper spring will slide into the hanger and rest on this bolt. Now there is a lock nut that's required. We do sell that separately, and it is listed on our website under this product as a related part.
It's part number 12N-Z. Now this bolt is designed for use on 10,000 pound, 12,000 pound, and 15,000 pound heavy-duty axles.A few specs on this bolt. It is a grade 2 bolt. The diameter again is half-inch diameter. It's 20 threads per inch, and a few measurements on this.
The length, which is measured from under the head to the very end of the bolt is four and a half inches in length. The threaded section is one and a quarter inches. But that should do it for the review on the four and a half inch-long spring keeper bolt for heavy-duty axles.

The exact part I needed and quick shipping straight to the front door
Everything was exactly as described. The speed at which I received my packages from the time I placed my order was amazing, better than any company I have ever ordered anything from.
Everything I ordered was spot on and half the price I would have paid at the local trailer place where I live
Everything is excellent, the package arrived way faster than I thought. The only problem is I forgot to add 2 bolts to my list. I will definitely be ordering from etrailer from now on.
Fit the way it should.
Bought this when I replaced my equalizer bar on my 48ft Take3 Car Hauler, the old bolt was pretty worn from the slipper spring, so I replaced it out of caution. Don't forget to get a nut! I did, but the old nut fit just fine for me. If your parts are worn, please replace them, it'll save you so much headache in the long run!
