Hi everybody, Andy here with etrailer.com. Let's take a real quick look at the Southern Methodist University chrome solid mascot emblem for your two inch hitch receiver. Now a cover like this is going to serve at least two purposes for you. You're gonna be able to display your pride in being an SMU mustang fan while at the same time keeping your hitch receiver free and clear of any kind of rust and dirt buildup. As you probably know, frequently whenever you leave your hitch receiver open, it can build up with rust and debris. It will make it a little bit more difficult to insert your accessories such as your bike rack.
So by having this hitch cover installed, you're gonna be able to keep your receiver clean while supporting your mustang pride. This is an officially licensed product, as you can see there, and it features the SMU mustang mascot Peruna captured in chrome on a metal black powder coated base. This is an American made emblem. It's also rust proof and fade proof. And as you probably already saw, we do have this foam gasket here that's going to help prevent rattling.
So this is gonna fit your two inch trailer hitch receiver. It does not include a pin and clip for installation, so if you do not already have one, you would have to pick that up separately. However, I would recommend taking a look at our etrailer trailer hitch receiver lock for two inch hitches on your screen, I am including our part number there. You can just take that part number and pop it in the search field of our website. That will take you to that lock and you can add that to your order, and then you're not gonna have to worry about somebody coming by behind your vehicle when it's unattended and yanking this off.
Let me leave you with a few measurements just so you have a good idea of the size. So looking at the overall width, five inches, overall height, three and a half inches. Like new….still! We just returned from a 6 week, 6000 mile trip pulling this Jeep in all types of weather. I washed the Jeep yesterday, this hitch cover still looks brand new. Good job to whoever made this one.
