Video Transcript for Test Fit: WeatherTech Front Auto Floor Mats on a 2005 Jeep Liberty

Today on our 2005 Jeep Liberty, we're going to review and install the WeatherTech Custom Fit Auto Floor Liner, part number WT460321, gray in color. This application is also available in tan, part number WT450321, or black, part number WT440321. To begin our install, we first need to remove the older manufacturer's floor mat. As we remove the floor mat, we'll also take note of all the dirt and debris that's fallen off the floor mat, and we really could have benefited for a little more protection of our carpeting. Now let's go ahead and install the new WeatherTech liner. The liner itself is made of a high-density advanced material, so it can be molded to fit the shape and contour of the vehicle, while still being pliable enough to get in and out of the vehicle easily. Now with our liner in place, we can see the custom molding going over the manufacturer's attachment point, coverage nicely up to the threshold, going down below our hood release latch, but then extending up underneath both the gas and brake pedal, with additional coverage for the driver's side footrest.

As we come back down along the console, we'll notice the custom molding that fits the shape and contour of the floorboard and console it's up against. Here in the bottom of the liner, is the special channels and moldings designed to divert any debris or liquid, such as a spilled soda, or possibly some inclement weather we drag into the vehicle away from the driver's feet so they stay nice and dry. As you can see, it offers complete coverage of the vehicle's floorboard. With the raised outer edge, it's going to keep that dirt, debris, and liquid contained on the liner and off of our carpeting. This is a two-piece set. Not only do we have the driver's side, but whether the passenger's side, as well.

Let's go ahead and get it installed. Here on the passenger's side, there's no attachment point that we need to remove, so we'll just slide that old mat out and install the new liner. Once again, we can see the maximum coverage that the WeatherTech liner is offering. We have coverage all the way over here on the threshold, kick panel, and extension up underneath the dash. Again, we'll cover the side of the console and floorboard, even taking into account the special moldings and contouring from the floorboard, as it runs back up to the seat tracking. One more really nice feature about the WeatherTech liner is how easy they are to install. They can also easily be removed and cleaned and washed with just soap and water.

Now with our floor liner installed, we're ready to hit the road, and that will do it for the review and install of the WeatherTech Custom Fit Auto Floor Liner, part number WT460321, gray in color, for our 2005 Jeep Liberty. .
