Today, on our 2007 Toyota 4Runner, we're going to review and install the Weather Tech Custom Fit Rear Cargo Liner, part number WT41230, tan in color. This application is also available in black, part number WT40230, or grey, part number WT42230. Now our cargo liner works with the vehicle's double decker rear cargo system which is available in some applications. To use with the double decker storage system you'll need to trim the floor liner along the rear perforation. Then once you do that, you'll be able to take it, slide it in, and it fits the rear cargo area. For applications without the double decker storage, simply take the rear cargo liner, lay it all the way back up against the second row seating, and it will fit into place nicely. Now as the floor liner sits here, it looks pretty good but, keep in mind, it would be better if that double decker portion of the cargo system wasn't in the way. Our floor liner would sit down all the way along the rear cargo area and would mold, would shape, and contour right to the vehicle's interior trim panels.
Even in this application, it would look a little better. Once some of the heat gets to it, it allows it to conform to the vehicle's interior. Here, we have our raised outer edge and custom molding going around the vehicle's interior. Then keep in mind, on all 4 corners it has the design cut out for manufacturer's cargo hook. Not everyone uses them so it doesn't necessarily have to be cut out. Here, not only do we have the nice block-style pattern, but it's also designed to create grooves and channels to divert any liquid such as a spilled soda, water, or maybe inclement weather that we drag into the vehicle. At the same time, it's going to help provide grip for our rear cargo so it doesn't shift and move around while we're traveling.
Not only is the cargo liner easy to install, it's also easily removed and can be cleaned and washed with soap and water. Now that the rear cargo liner installed, we're ready to hit the road. That will do it for my review and install of the Weather Tech Custom Fit Rear Cargo Liner, part number WT41230 on our 2007 Toyota 4Runner.
