Hey everyone, it's Evangeline here at etrailer and today we're taking a look at an Inno Quick Base accessory, which is the Two Bike Carrier. Now this is designed to use with your Quick Base bases, whether it's the one for your hitch receiver or the one for your roof. You can move this carrier around depending on the situation. So we'll talk about that and we'll help you decide if this is the right fit for you and your cycling adventures. If you're not familiar with the Inno Quick Base System, this is a modular system and you first need to get the base that's appropriate for you if you wanted to use this carrier. Now we also have a full kit available where you can get like the hitch base with the bike carrier all in one go or you can mix and match and check those all out here at etrailer if you're curious about any parts of these system.
But for now, we're gonna focus on our two bike carrier. This has the exact same design as the Inno Tire Hold HD, which is Inno's electric bike rack. So you have that modern dual wheel mount design where this holds onto your bike by the front as well as the rear wheels. You also have these same tilt away as well as fold up features that the bike rack would have, and you have 120 pounds of weight capacity for those electric bikes. Plus this is compatible with all the extra add-ons that that bike rack has like the ramp.
For versatility, this score's pretty high on my list because we have that tray design that allows us to roll our bikes back and forth just to get better clearance between our handlebars and our seats. Plus there's a good amount of space between both bikes. You also have a maximum wheel base capacity of 51", which is great for those longer mountain bikes. So if you like those features, and you're just looking for a solid two bike electric bike rack, then definitely check out the Inno Tire Hold HD. That's gonna be priced less than our system here because it has less features.
What this has in comparison to that is we have an extra modularity, meaning you can put this on your hitch or you can put this carrier on your roof. Once you take the bikes off, this is how your carrier looks like. It's a very quick and easy process of just unlatching your Quick Base and then grabbing your carrier and then either storing this or moving this onto your roof. This carrier does weigh 35 pounds, so in reality, it's not that heavy, especially compared to some bikes,, it's just more bulky if anything. Now this experience will change depending on the height of your vehicle and where you have your base is mounted, but this is a general concept, lining up with your base, put those latches back in, lock those down, and that's it.
You're able to move your bike rack, either around your roof or onto your hitch. No matter where you put it, you're still gonna have the same weight capacities, but your experience will definitely be different and the things you ever consider will change as well. While on your hitch, you do have to be mindful of tilting the rack away in order to access your cargo area with your hatch door or your trunk door or your tailgate down. When this is on your roof, you then have to consider, okay, what's your roof weight capacity What type of crossbar system do you have Are you able to lift your bikes up and onto your roof Especially with this being a two bike carrier. So all that still makes for a system that works, whether it is on your roof or on your hitch, they just work a little differently. Included with this add on item is your bike rack, a tool to help use with the rack as well as this cable. Now this is designed as a cable lock used especially with your hitch base, if you're planning on using this bike rack mainly on your roof, I do recommend using your own cable lock. I've been working with the Inno Quick Base system for a while now and my personal favorite kit is the Gear Carry Cargo Box with the roof bases, but I really like to see that the other accessories within the system are also very intentionally made and not just afterthought add-ons. That's the same thing with a two bike carrier. Yes, it does fit with the other Quick Base systems, but them working together actually creates something really interesting, especially the two bike carrier on the roof. That's something you're not gonna see very often out and about, and I actually really like it and if you do like the hitch version too, I like the Inno Tire Hold HD, so it's nice to see that keeps that same essence but adds that modularity to it where you can mix and match your different accessories. So I do recommend looking into this if you're already invested or wanting to invest into the Quick Base System. If you don't need the modularity, that's totally fine. You can also find either the Inno Tire Hold HD or some really good roof mount bike carriers available here on our website. So hopefully this video helped explain what the Inno Two Bike Carrier is, how it works, as well as what you need in order to use it. This right here was a look at the Inno Quick Base Bike Carrier at etrailer.com. My name is Evangeline and I hope you enjoy the journey.
