Hi, there. I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Today we're gonna take a quick look at this Deka Cable Ties Kit. This kit is going to give you 10 of these six inch long cable ties that will allow you to secure your wiring and prevent it from hanging down, causing potential road hazards, and ground clearance, and that sort of thing. These are a black UV resistant material, so they are gonna hold up well for you. They do have an 18 pound tensile strength.

So if you are needing 10 cable ties, this is gonna be a great option for you. We do also have another kit that's very similar. The exact same products, comes in a quantity of 25. So if that if you're gonna need more than 10, you can go with that option. You can find that here at etrailer.com.

Delivery was amazing. Ordered on Monday and had the products on Wednesday. I am 71 and a retired desk jockey but was able to install the hitch and wiring harness on my 2016 Explorer in less than 3 hours including my coffee breaks. I used a small hydraulic jack to lower my exhaust onto a car support and then used the same hydraulic jack to lift my hitch while I bolted it up. The install would have gone faster with 2 people but there were no problems doing the installation by myself other than using more time.

My only suggestion would be for you to offer a completed package for the hitch and wiring harness installation. I searched your reviews and was able to get everything I needed including the extra long zip ties but after the installation was complete I realized that I forgot to order the tester. But everything worked great when I hooked the trailer up.

Great product, great price, great delivery and easy installation. Why pay UHaul $400 plus or Ford $600 plus for the same parts and installation ? You can do it !

Great delivery and packaging. Sealed 8" 7 pin trailer connector water proof, and install proof (even for a non techie such as me). Pro break away box functions perfectly, and the push to test is a great item. Finally, I got smart, and installed a junction box..WONDERFUL! I wonder why I waited so long. All items very competitively priced, super quality. And that self sealing tape is a miracle..regular electrical tape "NEVER STICKS" This sure does, as it self seals..

    We don't have a cover for an 8 pin connector like you pictured. To keep this connector from corrosion, I recommend using dielectric grease # 11755 and electrical tape to cover the ends. I also recommend using zip ties # DW05724-10 to keep this harness tight to the other wiring harness.

These lights measure 7" long and will utilize the same 4-pin style like # PE26UR that you're looking at.     For a 24" 4-Way Flat extension we have the Hopkins Endurance Easy-Pull # HM47004. I like this design because there is a big loop for the connector so it's easier to disconnect the 4-Way ends instead of chancing some damaged wiring. If you'd rather use a standard 4-Way extension then you can use the part # 18044 you mentioned and just bundle some of it up with a zip tie, like what we find with the kit # DW05724-10, to take up the slack.     Since the Peterson Plate Light with Bracket, part # PM436B, weighs in at under a pound, I don't see any problem with installing it on the 17x46 Curt Cargo Carrier # C18145. If you would rather not drill into the cargo carrier frame you can use the Deka Cable Ties Kit # DW05724-10 to secure the bracket to the cargo carrier although it might not be as sturdy. You might also need some extra Wiring # 12-1-1 and Butt Connectors # DW05745-10 so finish the installation.
