Today we're going to take a look at the CargoSmart Rotating J-Hook for E-Track and X-Track systems, with a 200 pound capacity and a zinc plating. Part number is 3481700.Now this collapsible J-Hook, is going to do an excellent job of holding most items that you're going to want to hang, whether that's hoses, extension cords. You can see in here, it's got a semi-rounded design, so if you wanted to put some tubing in there. If you had a couple of these, you could put some tubing in there. Put some PVC in there, whatever you might need. But the big thing I like about this is, compared to other J-Hooks that you see, is that we can rotate it. Lift this up, rotate it around, push it down. It's going to be locked in that position.
Or the other way, locked in that position. Once we get where we're at, take our hose off, we can put that down, so we're not going to be running into it from day to day.Just like all E-Track or X-Track accessories, we've got a lever here at the top. Once we pull that lever, we're able to slide it out of the attachment point there. It can easily be stored until we need it again. To engage it or to install it, we're going to pull back, up, and then just let that come down and it will lock into position, just like that. We're ready to put it back into use, whatever service we might have for it.Now to give you a good idea of what this will accommodate, from the top of the hook here to the bottom, we've got about four and a half inches.
From the face here to the back side of our hook, that's going to be about four and a quarter. From our mounting surface to the outside edge of our hook, we've got about six and a quarter. And if we have it in the storage position, that's going to be down just about two inches or so.I think in most applications you're going to see this mounted just like we're using it, to hang some hoses from, keep some pipe in, maybe keep some extension cords on it. Generally you'll see that inside of a trailer, but these can certainly be used outdoors as well. Maybe you've got an open utility trailer. The hook and base, of course they're steel, but they've also got the yellow zinc coating on them.
That should help resist corrosion for a long time to come, and help ensure that we're still able to collapse that, and you're not going to have all that rust and corrosion building up in there, causing that to be difficult. Now the hook is a heavy duty material. It's nice and strong. THere's no flex or no give to it. It gives us a 200 pound safe working load limit. It has quite a capacity to it.One thing to keep in mind though, that's going to be dependent on how your track is mounted.
If you only have a few screws in it, and it's flexing, it's probably not going to get up to that capacity for you. But if you've got it properly mounted like this one is, it shouldn't give you any issues at all. That's going to complete our look at the CarbonSmart Rotating J-Hook for the E-Track and X-Track systems. Part number 3481700.

I’ve been using E& Track rails & accessories in my race trailer. I’m now using them in my garage. Don’t know why I waited so long to use them or organize my garage

I bought 4 of these hooks and 2 out of the 4 are missing parts in order to work. There’s a little pin to hold the hook in the spot you want and 2 of them are missing it.

Going to work great and like that they fold out of the way if not being used.

I'm using them in a different way, they are holding my race tires for my car. I covered the actual hooks with thick fuel line to protect the rims. So far so good.
I like the fact they fold away then I have the tires down.
Would buy again in a heartbeat!

Solid piece. Like the fact that it can flip out of the way. I am using it to hang my Andersen Rapid Jack on my trailer side E-Track.
