Quickly and easily install a 4-way trailer connector on your vehicle with this custom harness. T-connector plugs directly into existing wiring - no cutting or splicing required.
Features:
This custom-fit T-connector plugs into your vehicle's wiring harness, which is located behind the rear bumper.
Once installation is complete, the 4-way flat connector will be stowed beneath your vehicle, near the trailer hitch. A mounting bracket (sold separately) is recommended to keep the connector secure.
It is recommended that you use a small amount of grease on all electrical connections - the plugs on your automobile and the 4-pole connector itself - to help prevent corrosion.

Hi, everybody, Andy here with etrailer.com. Let's take a real quick look at this Hopkins Plug-In Simple Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector. Now, this harness is designed to fit easily onto your 1986 to 1992 Ford Ranger, and on custom-fit parts such as this harness, I do recommend taking advantage of our Vehicle Fit Guide here at etrailer.com. Simply input the year, make, and model of your vehicle and our Fit Guide will confirm if this harness will work for you or if we have something comparable that will work for you. Now, this harness is going to give you that 4-pole flat trailer connector at the back of your Ranger to power your trailer signal lights. This is also gonna be compatible with five, six, and 7-pole adapters, and those adapters are sold separately.
Included is this detachable dust cap that's going to cover up that 4-pole flat connector when it's not in use. It's gonna protect those connection points, keeping it free of dirt and debris and moisture and things like that. This custom-fit T-connector is going to plug into your truck's wiring harness, which is located behind the rear bumper, so it's gonna be a very easy installation, and then once the installation is complete, the 4-way flat connector will be stowed beneath your truck near the trailer hitch. If you don't already have one, we do provide mounting bracket options for you that you can check out to keep that mounted securely by the opening of your trailer hitch receiver. Now, it is recommended that you use a small amount of grease on all of your electrical connections, such as the 4-way connector itself and the plugs here.
This does come with a small packet of grease, but I do also recommend taking a look at the dielectric grease that I'm putting there on your screen. That's a larger tube of grease and so that's gonna be available to you for multiple applications besides this little packet that's included. So, if you're interested in taking a look at that larger tube of grease, you can take that part number that you see there on your screen, pop it into the search field of our website. That will take you to that grease and you could add that to your order if you so desire. This does come with a few cable ties, but I think it's gonna wrap up our really quick look today.

It is a perfect fit, exactly what I needed for plug-in play on my 1992 Ford Ranger! Can’t wait to haul my trailer and be able to have lights working on it!
Well made, however the connectors were not an exam act match for my 1992 Ranger. I had to trim off a couple of the indexing tabs on the female sides of the harness and the connector on my truck in order to be able to plug it in. Once that was done, it connected right up and functioned correctly.
Only complaint is that the retainer for the plug cap fits very loosely. Would be nice if it was permanently attached to the plug.
