Jake: Hey guys, it's Jake here with etrailer. Today we're going to be taking a look at . I'm going to show you some of the cool features on the Weathertech under eat truck storage box.This under seat storage box is going to give you a place to properly organization your tools, so they're not just sitting on your seat or on the floor board of the back of your truck. Now, what's cool about this is the box is only going to utilize the space underneath the seat that would be otherwise wasted space. You can see it fits underneath our seat very nicely and it's out of the way when our seat is down.The box is going to have a durable and sturdy plastic construction to be able to resist against any liquids you may have if you're storing any types of oil or anything. It's going to be resistant to those and easy to clean up.
As you notice, both on the driver and passenger side, you're going to have these deeper hole pockets so that you can store tools such as our ratchet traps there and not worry about making contact with the seat. And in the middle here, it's going to be a shallower compartments for wrenches or screwdrivers or anything that's lower profile.One of the most convenient uses for this storage box in my opinion, is going to be for your ball mount. If you're putting your ball mount in the bed of your truck, we all know that they're going to bounce around in the back when you start and stop. But if you set it down inside your case, because of that plastic construction, it's going to hold it so that it's not rolling around in your backseat.Now that we've gone over some of those features, let's go ahead and show you how we got it in place. It's going to be very easy to set into place.
It's all going to be one piece. Just set it down in your back seat. And we do have an included strap that will go through this slot and tie down to the tie down point here on our spare tire tools. What we'll need to do to be able to get our buckle through that slot, we'll need to take the strap out, slide it through our slot, and before you put the buckle back on, it's a good idea to slide it back behind that bracket and then replace your buckle. Then you'll cinch it down.
Get it nice and tight so your box can't move forward on you.Now we can go ahead and replace all of our tools in our organizer so that they're all nice and tidy. And with all our tools in place, we can go ahead and lower our seats and see that they're not going to make any contact. Well, guys, with all that being said, that's going to do it for a look and installation of the Weathertech under seat truck storage box.

A great product that utillizes wasted space in all double/crew cab pickups. I, unwittingly, ordered the wrong unit, confusing the crew cab for the double cab. I called etrailer.com's Martez B., who listened to my problem seriously. He issued a return label, and immediately placed an order for the right unit. Ordered on a Friday at noon, and received new unit Monday at 10:15 am. WeatherTech over Husky is a no-brainer. Strong and sturdy.

It's great, I got rid of my cross bed tool box and have everything I need under my back seat
This works great in my Chevy Silverado. I don't know why Chevy did not have any compartment or storage under the back seats already but this is a great solution to the problem. Plenty of room to fit in the usual things I have in my truck at all times ie- ratchet straps, bungie cords, small fishing backpack. Although the price could be better, most likely because of the weather tech brand, This was still definitely worth the buy.
I love the concept, but weather tech could have done a better job of designing it. There is a lot of waisted space in the way they designed it. As for ordering-shipping, everything went off with out a hitch
The sides are relatively flimsy, and the bottom edges (where the storage box meets the truck carpeted floor) are sharp, not rounded. So, the storage box does not easily slide out to access the items in the box. I had a Du-Ha Storage Box for my previous truck, which was higher quality. I recommend getting a Du-Ha instead of WeatherTech.

My wife couldn't wait until I purchased this item. I have all sorts of stuff hidden under my back seat and was all out of order and would slip out from under the seat every now and then. etrailer gets 5 stars. Site was helpful, shipping was ahead of schedule. No issues there. All the issues are with the product. Unexpected of a weathertech product. Material is flimsy, I have GM premium all weather floor liners and the storage box can’t maintain its base because the edges slip on the floor liners. The floor liners also have a lip on them that I had to cut a notch for on each end to try and prevent the storage box base from flaring out. I’m sure the box holds its form fine on carpet, I’d be interested to see how it sits on weathertech brand floor liners. It holds all your stuff secure. I wish it had been more rigid in design and didn’t have all the wasted space because of the way it was engineered. Not worth the price even on sale!!!

The storage tray fit perfectly in my 2019 F150. Could have been wider. I wanted it to store tool sets and a first aid kit in it, had to do some creative packing to make it work.
It's not perfect, but it fits nicely and appears to be solidly made. Improvement could be made in securing the unit better, having said that, it still does a pretty nice job.
