Features to know about
Stable Handling on Every Mile: Frame-Mounted Tie-Downs
These frame-mounted tie-downs keep your camper stable and your ride comfortable even on long highway runs or rough roads. By attaching directly to the frame instead of the bed or bumper, they distribute the camper’s weight evenly and lower the center of gravity. That means less sway, better handling, and a setup that feels solid at every turn. You avoid the top-heavy feel that can make long hauls tiring or unpredictable.
Quick Install Without Drilling: Custom-Fit Design
These tie-downs bolt directly to pre-existing holes in your frame for a custom fit with little to no drilling required. The design mounts tight to the frame for minimal loss of ground clearance, so you won’t snag or drag when driving uneven terrain. Because there’s no cutting or major modification needed, you get a clean installation that preserves your truck’s structure and strength.
Clean Look When Not in Use: Removable Arms
When you’re not hauling a camper, remove the arms and the brackets will hardly be visible under the truck. The low-profile design keeps things looking tidy and doesn’t interfere with your truck’s style or clearance. It’s a setup that stays out of sight until it’s time to load up again.
Built for the Long Haul: Aluminum, Stainless Steel, and Powder Coat Protection
The tie-down arms are made of rustproof aluminum and the receiver brackets are stainless steel for long-term strength you can trust. A high-impact black powder coat finish adds another layer of protection from road salt, water, and debris. It’s a heavy-duty combination built to handle miles of weather and vibration without giving in to corrosion or fatigue.
Secure Connection: Adjustable Anchor Points
Each tie-down arm includes two pin holes so you can adjust how far out it extends from the body for proper clearance around fenders or sidewalls. Two anchor holes in the attachment plate help you get the best angle for your turnbuckles (sold separately), keeping tension balanced from multiple directions. Once set up, your camper stays locked down and steady wherever you go.

Installed on Chevy 2018 3500HD with factory nerf bars. Gnarly installation. Drivers side was difficult. There was one bolt that I couldn't access the back side because the gas tank is in the way. I was able to install these but I'd recommend professional installation. Holes in brackets do no line up well, like 3/8" off. Driver's side bracket also interferes with the park brake cable, instructions have you zip tie the park brake cable to the hose above, so when the park brake is actuated it moves the hose along with the cable. This shouldn't be done like this. Overall, poor engineering. 476724
Fairly easy install, received the wrong parts, but was sent correct parts right away. Customer service was great. My only complaint is the paint on all 4 brackets has either fallen off, or in the process of falling off. These should be powder coated. Because of this, they are now covered in rust, joys of living in northern New England804783

This is the third set, third vehicle, I have installed these camper tie-downs on. Once you are used to torklift instructions/ pictures the installation is not that hard ( even for me at 74 years old). The torklift product itself is well made and works great. 3626958

These tiedowns were great. They fit my 2023 ford f350 4wd crew cab perfectly. They bolted on using existing holes and they included wire feeders to feed the bolts through all the holes. Everything was included in the kit and installation was pretty simple. Probably took an hour or so. Directions were very good and easy to follow. They hold my camper down very securely and are adjustable for various widths. Also easy to drill different hokes for custom widths. I highly recommend this tie down for this model truck. 3152977
These tie downs are sill working as advertised. I have travelled over 20,000 mi with them in various conditions with about 10 of that time in dirt roads or 4wd roads. Nothing too crazy, but with my camper and these tied downs I am confident that the camper will remain attached and be secure. It hardly moves around at all. They are worth the money and I can still remember how easily they installedvery welll thought out design and installation!

Product came promptly, however, part of the tie-down was sticking out through the box when delivered. Stronger packaging is suggested. Everything fit well and instructions were quite handy, making much of the otherwise difficult installation easier. There was mention of possible alteration of the emergency brake cable support if it was a manual system. Extra parts were even included if needed. However, on a 2025, 5.5' F-150, nothing was said about a main exhaust support being in the way of the passenger side's installation. The tie-downs are now installed but I'm still trying to figure out how to re-install the muffler support. 3529839

Hi Jim! I can see why that would be frustrating for sure. The good news is you usually don’t have to do anything drasticmost fixes come down to slightly repositioning the exhaust system rather than fully relocating it. That can mean loosening and adjusting a bolt-on hanger, adding a small spacer, or even tweaking the hanger position just enough to create some clearance.
I’ll drop this article here since it walks through a few simple ways to fix it step-by-step, but overall you’re on the right track it’s typically just a matter of giving the exhaust a little more room so nothing is rubbing or under tension. This help article is about a hitch install but it still applies here.
The front mounts installed relatively easily with no drilling or modification. Instructions were ok, i recommend doing the passenger side first, as it has no gas tank in the wayand you will get the idea of the mount and order of tightening. I had to use double washers(provided) on the replacement bed bolt provided to make it work properly. The mounts themselves are solid and well made. Roughly .120 wall tubing. I sprayed cold galvanizing paint inside the tubes to prevent corrosion. etrailer’s service and shipping were top notch and fast. Total install about 4 hours, but I work slowly and take my time. 3396080
The photos are very small with poor dark images and contrast. Also, the names of the nuts, bolts, and other items should have photos of each item with the description and name of that item in each photo.
It appears that you don't want to help the customer install it on his own.
The tie downs are well made and strong.
I will give you more feedback when I get deeper into the installation... 3622261

We originally installed Happijack tiedowns in 2013 because that was the only option that the dealer offered and they did well until we unexpectedly went over a large hump in a highway road damaging the front tiedowns and the bumper! Once the damage was repaired, we decided to go with the frame mounted Torklyft tiedowns, which, although not inexpensive, are superior in my opinion to the non-frame tiedowns. Earlier this year we replaced the rear tiedowns prior to a trip to Alaska and they worked extremely well over the notoriously challenging roads thru the Yukon Territory and Alaska “highways”. Upon our return we replaced the front Happijack tiedowns with the Torklyft frame mounted tiedowns and so far are very pleased with the upgrade. 3470300

Glad to hear you are liking them, Milton! And I agree, the TorkLift tie downs are superior to the HappiJac tie downs. They are just more secure and heavier duty. At least in my opinion.
And that sounds like quite the trip! Was it just a camping trip or did you do some fishing and or hunting?

Keep in mind the parameters of the application these may be different on another vehicle. Camper is a Northern lite 9-6. Vehicle Chevy 3500 LB SRW 4x4. Post install, in my opinion. I’d feel my comfortable if the ‘FastGun’ tie downs were facing opposing directions. Currently attaching to the designated anchor points all four FG’s angle from the TorkFit anchor point BACK towards the NL camper’s anchor points. This positively prevents the 3600 LB. camper from rearward movement. However FOWARD movement can and has occurred. After a necessary sudden braking event I checked my clearances and discovered that forward movement did occur. About, one inch. My NL slid far enough forward that contact was made between the vehicle and the camper. Realignment was necessary. From an Engineers perspective: the best anchorage would be achieved with the anchoring devices (FastGuns, in my case) installed in opposing directions. In the future I will be placing blocks between the camper and the front of the truck bed to eliminate any forward movement. 1475838
I reached out to the manufacturer. They advised that they think it is a combination of the Northern light camper anchor point location being situated so far back on the camper and possibly the front of the camper not being all the way against the bulkhead of the bed if it is moving forward still. Otherwise, everything looks typical of a truck camper and truck installation. If it has any room to slide forward, it will in a sudden braking situation.

Jenny thanks for your reply and diligence in reaching out to TorkFit. The NL camper does have forward bumpers for abutting the bulkhead. However when bulkhead contact is made the body of the my 21 Silverado makes contact with the fiberglass body of the camper. The pressure from a recent ‘sudden stop’ and ‘slide forward’ created enough pressure to chip paint on the truck. The bumpers make contact with the bulkhead about 10”-12” above the bed-bulkhead connection. The 90* corner at bottom, this should be the strongest area. I will install stop chocks at future loadings. I’ll also attempt to possibly install the TorkFits in a more vertical position. Thanks.

Jason was great to work with on getting the proper camper tie downs for my truck as it was a new truck and was a bit confused as to the proper application.
I had them installed within an hour. Even an armature bolt twister could do this!
I have used my camper a lot since putting these on my truck and will tell you these are THE MOST SECURE ANCHORS I have ever used on any of my trucks PERIOD!
You will not make a bad decision going with this product. I recommend these tie downs over any product available! I Don't normally give recommendations or endorse products. These I am truly impressed with. 802311

I had the mountings professionally attached to the frame. The hatches can be easily removed when not in use( and I would recommend that to keep them from being stolen). Using chains and turnbuckles, I feel very comfortable with my truck camper staying where it is.. does not rock, very solid. It’s nice to feel secure about my camper staying firmly attached. It was worth the investment. 1329190
A year later, I just got back from camping trip. I love the easy set up of these hitches. I’m a 65 year old woman, and I can put these mounts on my truck in less than five minutes. Then, another 10 or 15 to put the chains and turn buckles on, make them tight. I usually drive about 5 miles maybe 10, go get gas, and give all the chains a shake to make sure they’re still tight. If not, spin the turnbuckles a time or Two. And off, I go. I am extremely happy with this investment. Of all the things I bought after buying the camper, this has brought me the most security and feeling of safety. Good luck, happy camping whatever you decide.
Since the camper is longer than the bed of your truck you will have to go with a Torklift style of camper tie down as the Brophy tie downs can't be used with the campers longer than the truck bed.
If you can get back to me with the bed length, cab style, and if you have running boards and a factory hitch I can set you up with what you'd need. Here's a link to everything in the meantime though. view full answer...
The TorkLift Custom Frame-Mounted Camper Tie-Downs # TLC4204 (front) and # TLC3212 (rear) will fit your dually 2011 Chevy Silverado 3500 Crew Cab with an 8 foot bed, cab-length running boards and a factory hitch.

I recommend adding the following TorkLift Tie-Downs to your 2012 Chevy Silverado 3500 long bed dually:
- Front # TLC4204
- Rear # TLC3212
These are designed to fit if your truck has a factory trailer hitch so you'll want to confirm that prior to purchasing.
To complete your tie-down setup I also recommend picking up turnbuckles like the TorkLift AnchorGuard Derringer Turnbuckles # TLS9020. These are easier to use than chains and provide a fast and easy way to help keep your truck camper... view full answer...
For your 2015 Silverado 2500HD 8 foot bed with running boards and a factory installed hitch the Torklift Tie Downs part # TLC4204 and # TLC3215 will be the tie down options you would need.
Then for turnbuckles you would want the part # TLS9526-2-LK. view full answer...
To determine the correct camper tie downs for your 2016 Chevy Silverado 3500 we need to know the bed length, cab style, and if the truck has a factory hitch, aftermarket hitch, Tork Lift hitch, or no hitch.
All of the front options for models that have running boards are # TLC4204 and they are currently listed for Crew or Double Cabs and 8 foot beds; none for short beds.
So if you have a Crew or Double Cab with an 8 foot bed then for the rear you can use # TLC3215 if you have a factory... view full answer...
