These frame-mounted tie-downs give your camper a solid connection to your truck’s frame—the strongest part of the vehicle—so your rig stays stable even on long trips and rough roads. By spreading the camper’s weight evenly and lowering its center of gravity, you avoid a top-heavy setup that can sway in crosswinds or shift during turns. That means smoother handling and better control every mile of the way.
These tie-downs bolt right to pre-existing holes in your truck’s frame, so there’s little to no drilling or modifications needed. The custom-fit design keeps everything tight to the frame with minimal loss of ground clearance, making them easy to live with whether you’re hauling your camper or driving empty.
Once installed, the brackets sit tucked under the truck, nearly flush with the frame. When you’re not using them, remove the arms and the brackets are barely visible, keeping your truck looking clean and uncluttered.

The tie-down arms are made of rustproof aluminum, while the receiver brackets use stainless steel with a high-impact powder coat finish for extra protection. This combination stands up to road salt, rain, and years of driving without corrosion or weakening.
Each arm has two pin holes so you can extend it just enough to clear fenders or sidewalls and line up your turnbuckles (sold separately) at the best angle. Two anchor holes in each attachment plate help you fine-tune your setup for a secure, stable hold that keeps your camper from shifting while you travel.

Hi everybody, Andy here with etrailer.com, and today we are going to take a look at these TorkLift Talon, custom fit, frame-mounted, aluminum, rear camper tie-downs. Now, these tie-downs are going to fit a variety of Ford, GMC, and Chevrolet trucks. To see if these are going to fit your truck, take advantage of our vehicle fit guide here at etrailer.com. Insert the year and make and model of your vehicle and answer some of the follow-up questions and our fit guide will let you know if these rear camper tie-downs will fit your truck. These custom tie-downs provide attachment points at the rear of your truck bed for securing a bed-mounted camper. The front tie-downs are sold separately and to find those, again, you would use our vehicle fit guide and our vehicle fit guide will let you know what front tie-downs will work for your truck.
These brackets fit tight to your truck's frame with no loss of ground clearance, and the frame-mounted design ensures excellent handling because securing your camper to your truck's base instead of its bed, it better distributes the weight to keep your setup from being too top-heavy. Now, these are gonna be virtually undetectable when they're not in use, and so I'm just gonna go ahead and remove one of these bail pins here that are included with your tie-downs just to show you how easy these inserts can be removed. So, the inserts are aluminum so they're very lightweight but also very rugged and durable. And so, once you remove the insert, there are these caps that are included that you can just pop over the receiver here on the bracket and that's going to keep debris, junk out of there. So, it'll be nice and clean but it'll also give it a nice finished look.
And so, as you can see, when you remove the insert the bracket is going to be virtually undetectable as it's there mounted underneath the rear of your truck bed. So I'm just gonna go ahead and remove the cap and I did want to mention that there are two holes on these inserts and the hole that is the farthest out, right here, you would use that hole for wider campers and if your camper is a little bit narrower, then you can bring the insert in more in the receiver and use this hole that is closer to the front of the insert and that is the hole I'm gonna be using right now and that is going to bring that insert in more for your narrower truck beds or your truck bed campers rather. So I'm just lining up my holes here and then I'm just going to reattach the pin and we are good to go. Now, these are made in the USA and as I mentioned before, the tie-downs are constructed of rustproof and lightweight aluminum alloy that are going to secure to these stainless steel receiver brackets and a high-impact powder coat finish is going to add an extra layer of protection to the brackets and the inserts. So you are gonna receive two rear tie-down inserts, the frame brackets, and the necessary hardware along with the instructions and the caps that we talked about previously.
And these do carry a lifetime warranty. Well, that's gonna conclude our look today. I do hope it was helpful for you. Again, my name is Andy. Thank you for joining me..

It definitely is safe the way you have them, Paul! In a perfect world, the turn buckles would be perfect vertical, but this an imperfect world and not all campers have the attachment points in the same place. If you take a look at some of the installed pictures on the TorkLift Locking FastGun Turnbuckles # TLS9529-2-LK page, you can see most of them are at an angle. It's perfectly normal. Are you running any suspension enhancement on your Silverado?

Install looks great, Megan! Especially for it only taking two hours! They were moving. : ) Happy we confirmed what you found as well. Tie downs can be a pain in the rear with all the options out there. Now I do have to ask though, have you guys thought about any kind of suspension enhancement for the rear axle? It's a little hard to tell, but it looks like the back is sagging a bit in your last picture.

A year later and I would not do anything different. Absolutely the best system available especially paired with the fast guns. The camper is solid mounted and does not move. Yet can still be off loaded in just a few minutes. Remember good stuff isn’t cheap and cheap stuff isn’t good.
