TorkLift Frame Mounted Tie Downs for a 2004 Ford F 350 Dually

Updated 08/12/2026 | Published 08/08/2026

Question:

Hello, I am looking for frame mount tie downs for my 2004 F-350 Crew Cab 8 bed Dually. My truck has the factory Ford hitch and running boards that end at the cab. Your site offers two TorkLift part s with different prices though I can not tell what the difference is. Which one would be correct for my application? Part numbers are TL98PR and TL38PR. Thank you.

Hi Nate,

You’re on the right track. Both the TorkLift tie down kits you found will fit your 2004 Ford F 350 Crew Cab dually with the 8 foot bed, factory hitch, and running boards that stop at the cab. The difference between them is the material. Part # TL38PR is the steel version, while part # TL98PR is the aluminum version. Both kits include the front and rear frame mounted tie downs you’ll need.

Either one will do the job, so it really comes down to which material you prefer. The steel kit is the more economical way to get the same frame mounted setup, while the aluminum version gives you a lighter, more corrosion resistant option. If it were my truck and I regularly dealt with wet or salty roads, I’d lean toward the aluminum kit. Otherwise, the steel version is a solid choice and saves you some money.

What kind of truck camper are you getting set up to haul on your F 350?
