Hello everybody. This is Jeff with etrailer.com. Today, we're taking a look at this surface mount waterproof Dragon LED boat accent light with the white LEDs. Now, this is an LED light that will provide a bright white light on your boat, so it's great for upgrading and replacing courtesy and accent lighting. The light output on this is 32 lumens. Now at the end of this video, I am going to hook this up to some 12-volt power just to show you how bright the light is.

This is a nice sealed, waterproof housing and lens unit, which is submersible. It does have an IP68 rating, which means it's resistant to submersion up to a maximum depth of five feet underwater for up to 30 minutes. And this is a military-grade construction of a circuit board used this light. It does use the urethane potting, which will give you better protection than the common epoxy padding that's used. And the LEDs on this light are premium LEDs.

They are energy efficient, long-lasting, vibration resistant. They're rated for up to 50,000 hours of operation. Head housing is a durable polycarbonate housing. Has a UV-resistant lens. And if you notice it is a clear lens over four white LEDs.

This is compatible with 12-volt DC systems. Now, to install this light, it does require the vertical or horizontal mounting covers that we sell separately on our website, because it is a surface-mount installation. And those mounting covers are listed on the product page of this part number as a related product. They come in either a vertical mounting cover or a horizontal. Now, if you do mount this in a vertical, meaning going this way, that cover will hold it, and it'll give a 40-degree beam, when it's mounted vertically.

If you put it in the horizontal cover, which means it's going this way, it emits a 60-degree beam. Now the mounting hardware is not included. You would have to supply that. This does hard wire to your application. It is a two wire design. You can see a power and a ground wire, and the wired length they give you is about 36 inches. Input voltage on this is 9 volts to 14 volts. Power draw is 0.08 to 0.12 amps. Last thing I wanna do is measure the light for you, and then we're going to hook it up to some power. So the length of this light is 1 1/8 inches. The width of it is only about 3/8 of an inch. And the total depth on it is right about a 1/2 inch. So again, what I'm going to do is go ahead and hook the power and the ground up. And once we get that hooked up, I'll go ahead and turn on the power. And you can see with the 12-volt power on, you get a nice, bright, white light. And what I am gonna do is go ahead and turn off the overhead lights. And now with our overhead lights off, you can see how bright that light is. It's also a very bright white light. And then what I'm going to do is just zoom out, so you can sort of see at a distance how much light it gives off. I'll turn back on our overhead lights. We'll go ahead and turn off our power.
