Best Ram 3500 Trailer Hitch Ball Mounts

Why did I wait so long to buy this awesome hitch! (I guess because i had my doubts, given the cost). This has been so useful as I have 4 bumper pull trailers with 3 sizes of balls. I dont move them all the time, but when i do use them, i often find myself using more than one in a day. I told my neighbor about my experience and he bought one for each of his trucks. It is SO easy to change the size...like 10-15 seconds

Best hitch money can buy! Multiple adjustments and you can stow it. It’s heavy duty and I use it everyday pulling a dump trailer or flatbed. 10 out of 10 I would reccomend!

Went with the B&W due to the length of the shaft going into the receiver. My 2024 Ram's receiver is recessed under the bumper. This hitch is long enough to accept my Towtector product. Similar to Rock Tamers. Also, Brittany in customer service was awesome to work with as she guided me towards the product that worked for my application.

This ball mount is extremely heavy duty. I had a stock class IV hitch and aftermarket ball mount on my Ram 3500 SRW and it was bending towing a 14000 lb dump trailer. I upgraded to a class V hitch and this mount and it's working great. I have 6 trailers that I pull with gooseneck, 5th wheel and ball hitches. The only 1 that uses 1 7/8" ball is a little 5x8 utility trailer that I'm converting to 2" so I got the 2 ball instead of the 3. When turned sideways it works as a step to get into the truck but only if the tailgate is up. It doesn't stick out far enough when the tailgate is open. The reason for 1 less star is the documentation; you need more information to make the best choice. I originally ordered a different PN and it hung way too low bc is mounted under the existing hitch. To remove the stock hitch, you also remove the integrated mounting brackets for the bumper. I ordered a PN for a truck without a hitch and cut off the receiver tube with a torch. Also, I upgraded the 3 1/2" exhaust to 4" and now at idle the exhaust rattles on the much larger frame of the class V but a slight modification in planned to take care of that. Installation was fairly straighforward once I removed the original receiver tube.

This review does not just serve my recent order, but all of the orders before it. I have purchased a number of items from etrailer and everything was sent in a timely manor as stated and promised. Just received this mount and did the test fit with our trailer. We have not hit the road with it yet but I am confident it will perform perfectly. I am anxious to see how the cushioned feature works. We pull a box cargo trailer for business and just got a new Chevy HD pickup to tow with. It has a 2.5" receiver and hitch height is much greater than the Suburban we were using plus it had a 2" receiver. This mount is rated for far more weight than we will ever need but it was the only 2.5" size with 6" drop that I could find. We are very pleased with the product and the excellent customer service we got at etrailer. These hitches are the best! And I scanned the world over to find only hitches that are made in USA like I do every product I buy. This is a very ingenious design that allows some shock absorption that greatly quiets any trailering. I bought two full hitches one for each ball size so that I would never have to change ball again! Great product!

Very happy with the hitch. Looked FOREVER all over for details when I got my new to me 2017 Ram 2500. This truck sits so dang high off the ground (4x4) I was worried about getting the proper range of drop for my different trailers. I used my 7x14 utility trailer as my baseline as it rides the lowest. From ground to bottom of my ball coupler is approx 16in. From ground to top of my hitch receiver is approx 25in. On the lowest setting my trailer sits ever so slightly nose totally empty. Check the pic with level. Once loaded I'm confident it will ride very nice. Plus I have all the range to move up for my taller trailers. Super beefy, seems well built, and I picked up the locking pins to go with. Etrailer as always had a great price and I've been ordering from them for years.

I have a 2018 Ram 2500 and was in the market for a hitch. So as usual I go and check out etrailer. I was initially wanting a 8 inch drop but couldn’t find a style I liked. I personally didn’t want aluminum nothing against them just wanted steel. Finding information sometimes can be difficult so this is my main reason for review. As for etrailer I ordered this on a Tuesday afternoon and was at my house by noon on Wednesday. I was expecting Friday possibly Monday for delivery. This hitch is heavy. Fits in receiver good also stays close to bumper for better handling of to tongue weight and also to save your shin pretty sure you run into this thing you won’t forget it. I haven’t towed with this hitch yet but very confident it will be no problem. I have included some photos to help. This truck is all stock. The only negative if there is one is with the hitch in receiver and you hit a decent bump it does let you know it is in receiver.

This forged ball mount was not machined flat around mounting hole. I had to grind a flat surface for proper fit.

Bought to pull my boat with my Yukon and needed a drop hitch to level out the trailer. I wanted to buy a quality hitch, and let me tell you the B&W does not disappoint. Well engineered. It’s it heavy but when installed it is pretty easy to adjust height and ball size. Also supporting an American company is a plus!

Perfect drop height to pull my trailers. Have a 2024 Ram Power Wagon and the increased suspension height requires a large drop hitch to pull trailers at a better angle

It's great having the hitch always attached to the truck. It's just there when you want it, stowed and out of the way when you don't. I wish they had a one-ball version as I haven't needed both, yet.

Very Strong ball mount. My wive (its her truck), towed 7000# of horse, tack and trailer last saturday. I know this ball mount is overkill but it is easier than using a 2" with the receiver adapter. Also this way if we have to tow something real heavy we already have the ball mount for it.

Top notch super heavy duty solid Class V 18000# 2 1/2" hitch with 5" drop. Has some weight, but easy to heft with recessed sides. Married this with a 2 5/16" Brophy raw hitch ball. This is overkill for a 7,000# GVWR trailer being pulled frequently by a 2014 Chevy Silverado 3500HD 4X4 Crew dually with 2.5" stock receiver. Has also occasionally pulled several 6,000# wagons to the elevator. Have no major complaints, but there is a slight variant in size of about 1/16" mounted in the 2.5" receiver so there is very light feel when pulling empty. The 5" drop seems to work the best. This is the second hitch purchased for quick change out. Couldn't be more satisfied.

Great product. Extremely well built and looks great. Very easy to put into stow mode and move it back to the positions you want to tow from. The rated capacity of it is great it’ll do everything your truck will do in a bumper pull mode. It is a must for a 19 F-250 with the ride height to get your load level and to make the connection a easier process.

It now makes it so I can pull anything except a 5th wheel. It will make it great on the ranch.

This is a heavy duty combo pintle / ball mount. It is replacing one that failed at the welds. Since this is a solid piece with no welds I expect many years of use.

The chrome trailer hitch I ordered initially seemed promising, but Even with diligent care, including not leaving it on when not in use and avoiding exposure to winter weather, the chrome trailer hitch still succumbed to rust. This unexpected deterioration highlights a significant flaw in its durability, leaving me disappointed in its overall performance.

I recently purchased a B&W a 7" Drop, Trip Ball Hitch from the factory. I ordered a 3" Reese instead of a 2 1/2" that I needed. Noah and Tammi in Customer Service jumped right on the issue and got me the correct hitch and a quick return/credit for the other one. Couldn't be more happy with the company and the hitch. The 5” B&W has worked great for me. This year I’ve towed an 18 foot speed boat, a 21 foot family boat, and a travel trailer. Used 3 different heights on hitch to accommodate each trailer, including the larger ball for the travel trailer. When all done, I use the stow feature too. No more hitting shins on the hitch! Quality unit, very happy with its versatility and solid craftsmanship.

Great heavy dury hitch for towing. Less noise than other hitches and does a great job pulling my boat. Love the easy adjusting to height based on terrain where you may need to change this. Worth every dollar and likely a hitch for life.

If own a truck with a 2 1/2 hitch box this is the tow hitch ball kit! This is the Hulk of hitches! Great quality and durability. There is nothing I can tow or pull out of out of a muddy ditch! I’ve owned many truck and bought hitches. This is my first time with a 2 1/2 box and I feel very confident. The best hitch I’ve ever owned!

I have yet to tow with this hitch because I just received it today. Upon receiving the box I knew this hitch was not for the faint of heart. It felt like a massive hitch weighing in at 118lbs. Taking it out of the box I could see that this hitch is built like a beast and will likely be more hitch than I will ever need, but I needed a drop hitch and after asking etrailer questions and doing my own extensive research, I decided this was the hitch I should buy. I like the fact that it will give a little more space between the trailer and the truck, it can be used as a pintle setup if the need arises, and it comes with two ball sizes. Using this for my enclosed landscape trailer I am hoping it extends the life of tires and suspension components. I will try and update in the future after towing with this hitch.

Quality construction and this does in fact fit the Ford factory hitch receiver. The added tote is a nice touch.
