Erickson Big Bed Load Extender for 2" Hitches - 400 lbs
Wow, that truck bed extension really works! You may use this photo for publicity. I drove from Minneapolis to remote Minnesota to my off grid place...about 6 hours with no issues whatsoever! When we went to pick up the trusses at Menards, the guy doing the loading said "no way" can you get that in your truck!! Guess he was wrong
they only sent one nut in the package. now i have to go to the hardware store. It is well built though and I am going to haul 16 foot lumber with it

Rhino-Rack T-Load Hitch Mounted Load Assist and Support Bar for 2" Hitches - 49" Long
The Rhino Rack Load Assist looks like it will satisfy my need completely. I have an inflatable dinghy, which weighs the same as a kayak. The Load Assist will help me place the dinghy on the roof racks of my Toyota Highlander! The packaging was well worn when the product arrived at my home but the double packaging by etrailer.com ensured all parts arrived safely.
Just got this in and installed last week. I used it for the first time this weekend and it worked great. It is MUCH easier to load my kayak on the Thule TracRac on my pickup. I need to work out how to slow the descent rate of the support bar when putting up or taking down the kayak. If you are putting the kayak up with it and need to lower it for some unexpected reason, the bar will come back at you fast. You might need some quick reflexes to keep it from hitting you. Having a full size pickup, I was pleased to see the hitch mount had two holes in it so I could bolt it in the hole closest to the end to give it the extra length needed to allow the tailgate to open fully without hitting the bar (when at the 45 degree angle). The nylon strap across the support bar is handy but I am wondering if it would be better to not use it when putting the kayak up onto the truck. Some trial and error may be needed to minimize the chance of getting hit on the noggin but it isn't a big deal right now. I have a few ideas to try (or suggestions from the Rhino-Rack people might be good). I'm only giving it 4 stars just because of the rapid descent issue (which admittedly could be my fault for a lack of being able to find anything in the instructions about this) and I can't give it 4.5 stars. I think it is a great product though and it only took me about 45 minutes to install. (I'm a slow, methodical reader.)

Yakima LongArm Truck Bed Load Extender - 2" Hitches - Aluminum - 300 lbs
I purchased this so that I could transport a long kayak over the bed of my truck and keep the tailgate closed. This is much better than some of the universal extenders I've seen. It took a little trial and error to get the height exactly where I needed it but now the kayak sits perfectly on the extender, the tailgate and my makeshift cross bar. I don't have to worry about it moving around while driving and can still use the entire bed. The product was easy to assemble and is surprisingly light. My only gripe is the hitch pin threads into a nut inside the tube. I'm assuming this is to help with wobbling but a standard hitch pin will not fit. If you want to really lock the extender you'll have to purchase the additional locking pin from Yakima. The bar padding was out of stock when I purchased the extender so I just got some pipe insulation and zip tied it around the bar. At least I saved $[XX[ there!
It gets the job done from the house to the river. Yes it wobbles, less with the kayak's weight strapped down. We are using it for hauling a kayak with the cars hatch lid open and the kayak extending out the rear. In the fully upright and extended arm position one could run the kayak overhead on the Crosstrek roof rack and have additional length supported off the back. This is very light weight and easy to use.

Erickson Big Bed Junior Load Extender for Truck Bed or Roof - 2" Hitches - 350 lbs
Product worked as advertised and as expected. See photos - the only way to haul 16' lumber in the 5 1/2 foot bed of an F150. My only complaint was the limited height adjustment. I have a Decked drawer storage system in the back of my truck so the cross bar was too low on its highest setting. As shown in the photos, I had to add an 8 inch riser to get up to the level of the bed. But it was easy and worked well with this new part. Be careful on steep driveways so that the hitch extension does not scrape. Good product - worth the cost.
I use the bed extender several times a week, and this thing is stout! I got it to help load and unload my Solo Skiff. I am able to stand on the lower hitch part and rest the Solo on it. I also use it as a step into the hed of my truck, 3500 GMC. I love this product.

Yakima LongArm Bed and Roof Load Extender for 2" Hitches - Aluminum - 165 lbs
I purchased this because I needed to extend the length of my kayak roof rack after buying a 17’ kayak. I have it installed on a Jeep Grand Cherokee and it provides a very stable rear mount that prevents the kayak from being over stressed while bouncing down the road. The normal front and rear tie down ropes had to be so tight that my kayak was bending in the middle. This rack is very well made, adjustable, and easy to install.
I bought this aluminum bed extender / roof rack extender about a year ago. I haven't used it a lot but when I need it, works great. I use it on my Rivian mostly for carrying long lumber or kayaks. The adjustment to switch between bed extender and roof rack is pretty simple. I like the light weight of the aluminum. I would recommend this product.

Malone Axis Truck Bed and Roof Load Extender for 2" Hitches - 375 lbs
My Ridgeline is only 7.5' deep with the tailgate down which make it dicey to load more than 8' goods. The Malone extender makes carrying longer items a breeze. I have carried many 12' lumber loads with confidence. It assembles and breaks down rapidly with no tools necessary. And all of the pieces easily fit into the in-bed trunk. Great product!
I bought this to haul long boards in my Nissan Armada. I have used it numerous times in the first year. Definitely an excellent purchase!

Curt Universal Truck Bed Extender with Fold-Down Tailgate
This thing has a lot of adjustments to fit any full size truck, that being said, it takes time to make it fit properly. It took me 3 tries to get the attachment points properly fitted. I watched etrailers videos and if that guy had bothered to put it together right, the video would have shown a lot sturdier and solid product and his review probably would’ve been a lot better.
The Curt bed extender was simple to install, and remove and store when not needed. It is rock solid and can be used as a tie-down point when securing cargo. I like the coverage of this bed extender and relied on etrailer videos before I purchased it. The pin that fits in the V-opening, and the latch that locks into the truck bed tailgate latch are flexible and can be installed in many different positions. The key is to find the positions that enable the extender tailgate to fit. The etrailer staff helped me try several positions before finding one that worked. I like this extender because it is solid when installed, and simple to remove and store. I only need it when we are hauling stuff. When not in use it stores flat in the barn or under my toolbox in the truck bed.

Good product! I will recommend it. Much easier to load my 70# kayak in my truck than on my roof racks. Plus I can load all of my fishing gear into my kayak before I leave the house. It dismantles easily to store in the truck when in the parking lot.
