I was very pleased with the etrailer.com staff's help in choice of hitch, ease of purchase shipping and tracking of the products 98900 and E98866, both products arriving at my residence together the day promised and undamaged. My Grandson and I mounted the hitch today. I backed the car up onto a set of ramps and by removing the piece from the rear bumper as shown in the video, we had very little problems in guiding the hitch in above the muffler to its bolt down point and pulling the wires through the proper holes which I had circled with chalk. I did not trust the video and had constructed a wooden support under the muffler so it did not drop should the hitch slip out of our hands. We did use it to rest the hitch on top of the muffler when our arms got tired until we got the first nut on a bolt on either side in place. Being 70 years old with two back surgeries I would never have attempted this by myself because the class III 2" hitch is very heavy and awkward as the receiver area makes it want to tip down but a short 2x2 support kept it balanced. The video provided is worth mentioning, as it made the job easily understandable. Between prepwork and all it took about 1 1/2 hours. Very pleased.

Bought a trailer hitch and wiring harness for my 2017 Ford Escape. Both the hitch and wiring harness went on very easy, I spent maybe 4 hours with a lunch break thrown in to put the whole thing together.. saved me a ton of money not having to rent a truck and car carrier, and just towing a trailer. Works great with my new Kurt receiver hitch and the drop is perfect for a level tow on a '08 Ford Escape.

To be honest, I use it upside down. I needed a hitch with rise, but none were available at time of purchase, and yours, inverted, works perfectly! The welds are regularly checked and remain all secure. It's a good hitch.

With a receiver hitch already installed on a ford escape all my receivers are 2 inch but the one on the escape is 1 1/2 inch so I had a problem that etrailer had a solution for , the proper sized hitch that works great .

All equipment was delivered on time. Hitch, wiring harness, receiver and ball. Watched video's on installation of harness and hitch. Went down to my garage and installed both with the help of my girlfriend. Very satisfied with the products and the installation. etrailer supplied the goods and the knowledge. I am very happy that I went this route.

I needed to tow a trailer with a 2" ball. My original ball mount has a 1 7/8" ball installed. I had previously tried to change a ball on a hitch and destroyed the nut and damaged the underside of the ball mount. The lock washer had done a great job in keeping the nut from coming off. I dreaded trying to remove my 1 7/8" ball to install a new one that I would only use once. I decided to buy a new ball mount and mount the new 2" ball. This ball mount is so inexpensive that I realized I could have both ball sizes permanently mounted for use in either ball size.

I wasn't sure what type of ball mount I needed for my new Mazda CX-9, so I had to call a representative. The first time I called, the very knowledgeable gentlemen told me exactly how to measure my SUV to figure out the drop I needed. I called back the next day and talked to a lady who helped me figure out exactly what I needed. This is my second purchase from etrailer. The first was a hitch for my old Honda Odyssey, which was also a great experience.
