Demco Stay-IN-Play Duo Flat Tow Brake System for RVs w/ Hydraulic Brakes - Proportional
Great experience, quick shipping, excellent video and instructional references to go along with the product. I did the installation of the product myself and without the text and instructional video there is no way I would have been 100% successful. These are the extra value add things that make the difference when shopping with etrailer, I will be a return customer. The SMI Stay-IN-Play DUO braking system components were of high quality and were a perfect match for my 2016 Jeep Wrangler-2014 Fleetwood Bounder motorhome.
Clearly not a simply install, but worth the effort. I installed this on my 2016 Jeep Wrangler. This is my second SMI Stay-in-Play as I installed one on my previous tow vehicle, a 1995 Wrangler. This works best for me because I do not have to remove anything once I arrive at my destination.

Roadmaster InvisiBrake Flat Tow Brake System - Preset
I have not used it yet but the mechanic who installed said it is the best system avaible.
Just received it, and have not begun to assemble and install. I will have a few questions. The shipping was VERY FAST. The unit looks to be in good shape. ( no damage that I can see) etrailer is a very good place to purchase stuff, and spend money. BECAUSE........You get the best value for your money, and they can answer questions. Tom

Demco Air Force One Flat Tow Brake System for RVs w/ Air Brakes - Proportional
SMI Air Force One was the choice I made when we outfitted our 2016 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited last year. I can honestly say, without any hesitation,...this was the best choice ever. The installation was very straight forward. I was reluctant to cut my coaches brake lines...but the technicians at SMI were very helpful. I emailed them a picture of the brake lines that I had identified per the instructions, and wrapped a piece of colored electrical tape around the lines to identify them. The SMI techs wrote back within 20 minutes and confirmed that I had correctly chosen the correct air lines for splicing into. The fittings where a breeze to install. The system has performed flawlessly...and it works so well ---- if it weren't for a video camera view on my dash...I wouldn't even know the Jeep was back there. When I go to hook and unhook the Jeep. I keep my components in a canvas bag. It contains my Safety cables for the tow bar, lighting umbilical, and the two SMI parts...a coiled quick connect air line, and a safety breakaway cable. The other components of the system stay in place...no lugging them around. They are totally out of sight. If you have a coach with Air Brakes...this, in my opinion, is the best thing going. Proportional braking...directly metered by your coaches signal line. The system is robust...and includes it's own ping tank, and D.O.T. approved metering valve. I feel it's the safest...and best performing braking system built for a towed vehicle PERIOD.
One of best units as we have installed in many different units!

Roadmaster Even Brake Portable Flat Tow Brake System - Proportional
I bought a complete flat tow parts fir a jeep wrangler. I decided I could install myself. Your installation videos made it nearly a piece of cake. From a quote I got from a RV service business, I saved several thousand dollars installing myself. etrailer is the place to for your RV needs!
Very touchy on where it is sitting on the floor in front of the seat. Must be lined up almost perfectly. Heavy and clumsy to get in and out and connected to brake pedal. Need to add an on/off switch to the power line on the controller otherwise it is transmitting a signal on Jeep brands all the time that interferes with the remote key lock. Quite disappointed with hit and miss braking operation while in use and sending braking signal to driver when it is not braking.

Brake Buddy Select 3 Portable Flat Tow Brake System - Proportional
Plug keeps getting loose on unit. I drilled a hole in the case and installed a tie wrap attaching wire to case no more movement of plug works great otherwise
If you’re installing in a 2 door Jeep this brake buddy will install much easier if you 1. Remove floor mat 2. Set the driver seat all the way back towards the rear and 3. Lower the driver seat all the way down. By doing this the brake buddy will fit properly and allow for installing the cotter pin into the cleaver.

Brake Buddy Classic 3 Portable Flat Tow Brake System - Preset
I purchased this BB Classic 3 in October 2020 after my old BB Classic that I purchased in 2008 failed to hold pressure for the piston. I bought this for my 2017 Jeep Wrangler but due to (1) the depth and unevenness of the driver's floor board, (2) the seat adjustment bar prevents BB Classic 3 from pushing against the seat and (3) the adjustable legs are not long enough to reach the seat and brake pedal properly, the BB Classic 3 fails the auto start test every time due to not being able to level. I talked to Hopkins MFG techs several times trying to resolve the issue (wiring checks, power cord checks, etc.) but to no avail. This situation makes the BB Classic 3 dangerous to have in service because not being level it will think something is wrong and keeps the brake applied (piston will not retract after applying the brake). So after talking to other Jeep Wrangler owners I determined that a platform was needed for the floor board on which the BB Classic 3 could rest. I constructed a platform that was approximately 3" off the floor board and rested on the floor board under the seat and on risers toward the brake pedal. This platform is level on the floor board both length-wise and width-wise. After placing the BB Classic 3 on the platform with clevis and power cord installed and legs in the lowest position, I tested the auto start and had 8 successful tests in a row!!! Also the brake away test was successful too. I still need to make a short drive test while in tow behind the motorhome. Hopkins really needs to advise customers that the Classic 3 will not work properly as is on a 2017 Jeep Wrangler due to the configuration of the driver's side floor board.

Brake Buddy Stealth Supplemental Braking System - Proportional
Install was fairly easy. I did call support with a couple questions and they were very helpful.
The Brake Buddy has been working great. I just wish they had made the plug a more standard mount. It doesn't fit the standard mount point on my Roadmaster baseplate. I had to make a little bracket to adapt it.

Demco Stay-IN-Play Duo Braking System for RVs w/ Hydraulic Brakes - Wireless Monitor - Proportional
I've used this setup for a year towing a 2023 Jeep Wrangler . I 100% recommend it for anyone else. Under normal conditions it is very easy. Under stressful conditions (bad weather, uneven terrain, need to connect/disconnect quickly) it is a life saver. I am 63 and I can connect/disconnect this in 5 minutes.
I installed this system in a 2023 2 door Wrangler. I also used an etrailer base plate and etrailer tow bar. I had originally purchased a Demco Delta Force Braking System. However, with the shape of the floor in the Jeep I was unable to use this unit. There are various places to install the stay n play duo in the Wrangler and the etrailer installation videos show this. I elected to install mine under the drivers seat as I wanted to keep it out of the elements. I fabricated a sheet metal bracket to mount it on that allows the rear seat heater duct to function unimpeded. Once installed the unit is out of sight and very simple to use. Just a flip of the toggle switch and its ready. I only needed to make a few adjustments to have it brake the way jeep the way I wanted. This is also a very simple procedure. I highly recommend this unit and appreciate all of the information etrailer has on their site to aid in the procurement and installation of their products.

Roadmaster BrakeMaster for RVs w/ Hydraulic Brakes - Proportional
Kit fits great! Hooked up a 2004 Workhorse to a 2002 Jeep Liberty. It might be preferable to be handy with some advanced mechanical skills and tools to install this efficiently. Directions are great but you do need to figure out your own locations for certain items like the break-away reservoir, compressor, routing lines and wires out of harms way, but not bad at all. Parts are great, everything there but added a couple different wiring splices of my own.
Your customer service leaves nothing lacking, and this follow-up from you is so out of character for the many web sites I have purchased from over the years. I am impressed by you and your company. I bought the tow bar and the brake system for my Equinox, and installed them my self (I am 70 years old) - and with your provided instructions and video, I had no problems (even though I was surprised by the number of parts and detail that went into the assemblies). Both systems have worked very well, with no problems. I am completely satisfied with them, and have told my friends and traveling acquaintances about your company. Thanks for your follow-up!

Demco Air Force One Flat Tow Brake System for RVs w/ Air Brakes - Wireless Monitoring - Proportional
Overall a great system, there are some intricacies to the install as it pertains to old instructions with LED light in the TOAD vs. CoachLink Wireless and also the 3 wire reed switch vs. the newer 2 wire one. But using the provided written instructions along with YouTube videos you can figure it out. My other challenge was my Jeep is a 392 model and thus the battery and fuse box are in swapped locations, as well as a different VAC line layout, but again you can figure it out…just takes some time to study and trace the routing. My only real complaint was ordering, I was quoted the wrong system for my RV (Stay and Play) vs. AF1 since I DO have air brakes. etrailer was helpful in getting the return process but wants to charge me the shipping and possibly restock fee, I am working with them on this and hope to get a good resolution.
The Air Force One Braking system just arrived. I opened the box and looked it all over. No damage to anything thanks to good packing. A friend of mine has this same braking system and he loves it. Can't give a product review because it's not installed yet but I can honestly say Dianna A in customer service helped me get my order correct.

Blue Ox Patriot Portable Flat Tow Brake System - Proportional
12 Volt outlet in 2020 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon is only active when ignition is on. Called ETrailer, very helpful with suggestion of 20 amp cigarette lighter adaptor. Should have it ready to go soon.
Easy set up.it will be easy to put in and take out. Seems to apply plenty of pressure to the brake pedal. Haven’t had time to road test yet.

Demco Air Force One Flat Tow Brake System for 2021 and Newer Freightliner Chassis RVs w/ BrakeSync
I this is a replacement for my new 2023 Jeep Rubicon. I am impressed with the brake notification unit for my motor coach. Nice touch!
Love the Air Force One. After professional installation, it's simple to and quick hook up the toad. The bluetooth display in the rig cockpit clearly indicates when toad's brakes are engaged. In the year since it was installed, we've used it over 10,000 miles with no problems.

Demco Air Force One Flat Tow Brake System for 2020 and Newer Tiffin Chassis RVs w/Factory Air Brakes
Towing a 2020 F250SD with powerstroke. The Blue Ox Patriot 3 just would not press the petal enough. This applies the breaks well. Had to mount the box behind grill due to no room under hood. Used some copper wire to make sure it stayed in place. Had to cut a bit of the plastic cover over radiator. One thing did that was a little off the instructions is I did not run power into cab with air hose. I took power off my charging coach-> Toad charging circuit because it was under the bumper. For the reed switch I ran a wire to passenger side fuse box and used a fuse tap. Every thing else was pretty easy. I am pretty handy and have all tools needed. I installed in about 6 hr.
I installed this system myself in an RV site. All went well and the system works as advertised. Please take special note to the inside brake peddle cylinder placement on the brake peddle arm.
