Thule Passage Trunk Bike Rack for 2 Bikes - Hanging Style
I just assembled it and put it on my Dodge Grand Caravan last night. Took about a 5 mile ride with it this morning to see how it was doing. Seems to be fine. I've tightened all straps as tight as possible. The side clips seem to have a little play along the sides of the hatchback door but everything appears and seems to be solid. Even with the straps tightened all the way, you can still move/pull on them a bit, because they are nylon, so even though they seem to be secure now, I will check them at different intervals to see if they are retaining their hold. The sway bar option was a nice addition and I also cut some Velcro straps to tie down both wheels and the handle bars from swinging. Another nice surprise was that I was still able to open my rear van door with the bike rack attached. I would say, all in all, this is a great sturdy design and as long as I use due diligence to watch for any loosening of the straps over time, I should be just fine!
I just returned from a 3 week vacation where two small bikes were attached with my cruiser bike on the rack. It worked fantastically well. It is easy to attach to the van and is tightly secured. Putting the straps around and under the spoiler was a great idea on your part. This is a great bike rack for the Dodge Grand Caravan 2013! Swagman Upright Bike Rack for 1 Bike - Roof Rack Crossbars - Frame Mount
Planning on bringing bikes while camping. I mounted 2 of the Swagman bike racks to my new Sportrack on my pop-up camper. The bikes fit perfectly. The racks seem sturdy enough. Not heavy duty, but for my needs they should be fine. Assembly was relatively fast and easy.

Thule Hitching Post Pro Bike Rack for 4 Bikes - 1-1/4" and 2" Hitches
Received the product today with two major flaws. First, the Stinger was missing the whole for the pivot Bolt. There was basically a hole in each end of the Stinger but none at the bend where the horizontal and vertical tubes meet. I called customer service and explain the problem. The CS rep was not well educated and after giving him the part number for the 4th time, he finally pulled up the correct schematic. He informed me that I would need to return the entire track for warranty. That is not going to happen. I drilled the hole myself and continued. Then I found that the bike rack would not tilt fully because one of the plastic inserts on the horizontal tube of the Stinger was in the way. No way to fully extend or Tilt The Bike Rack unless I removed part of the plastic cap in the end of the horizontal tinger. After cutting Away part of the cap, the bike rack tilted to its full capacity. Haven't used it yet but based on what I've seen thus far, I am disappointed in the quality and would hesitate to buy another.
Easy to install, took maybe 5 minutes to put together. Seems to be very sturdy. Putting bikes on was very easy.

Swagman XTC4 Bike Rack for 4 Bikes - 2" Hitches - Frame Mount

Curt Bike Rack for 5 Bikes - 2" Hitches - Tilting
It was obvious that we received a product that was returned by someone else when the box was overly taped shut, a support collar was broken, and most of the pieces were out of their ripped plastic bags. However, it was a great price to hold 5, 26" and/or 27" Trek bikes. I used a piece of the broken collar and went ahead and assembled the rack. Due to the weight of the 5 bikes it did not wobble that much when driving, as one of the bike tires was up against my car. I can only imagine that if we received an untampered product that this review would have been 5 stars. The picture is a little hard to see, but there are 5 Trek bikes on the rack on my 2020 Toyota Seinna.
We received a damaged box, damaged items, no instructions, the nuts and bolts are completely stripped and not inside a bag. This was obviously used, returned, not checked for quality and sent out. We are extremely upset.

Curt 2 Bike Platform Rack - 1-1/4" and 2" Hitches - Frame Mount - Tilting
Bought to use for a trip from upstate NY to Daytona Beach FL Attached to my 2” receiver hitch on my Dodge Caravan CV. Easy to set-up and hitch. Mounted two bikes no problems! Tilt and fold-up features came in handy for opening the hatch during the trip and keeping rake on but out of the way while in Daytona. Made the trip both ways and way unnoticeable while driving. Would definitely recommend this product!!
We are so happy with our new bike rack and hitch. My husband was able to bolt the hitch on without help. It was delivered within two days. The bikes fit securely on the rack. We love it!!!!! Can't wait to take our bikes on vacation with our new bike rack!!! Thanks so much!!!!

SportRack Ridge Swing 4 Bike Rack - 2" Hitches - Swinging
Unit doesn't fit a Jeep Rubicon with a spare tire. I tried 4 times and contacted etrailer.com that the unit doesn't work as sold and they offered to sell me a 7 3/4 extension and reduce the load capacity 50%. The length of the 2" hitch needs to be 3" longer for a standard Rubicon to get past the spare. You not going to want to take your spare tire off for the hitch to work. It defeats the purpose. Customer service was excellent, however the product is a flawed design. Can't recommend this hitch. Its also heavy.
Solid rack for half the price of the name brands. Don’t waste your money! Thanks to the extensive reviews on etrailer and a free shipping promotion I took a chance and ordered this along with the three of their crossbars, anti rattle hitch pin and cable lock. All for well less than the name brand rack alone. Shipping was painful. Etrailer said it was in stock but then due to a delay with the manufacturer it took 35 days from order to arrival. I wasn’t in a hurry so I waited patiently, and etrailer reps emailed often to lmk they hadn’t forgotten. I thought some kind of reward for my extreme patience was in order- discount, gift card, free bag of chips- but they politely declined. Oh well. In the end it arrived when they (eventually) said it would, all in one box, in great shape. The rack was super easy to assemble. You’ll need a ratchet or two and you’ll need to crank those bolts to assemble- they don’t just “insert.” But otherwise it’s only a few steps; I had mine hanging on my truck in probably 15 minutes. Swings away and locks smoothly and requires no effort to do so. Everything feels quite sturdy and well made. No rattle on initial test drive either. This will be a once in a while rack at best for our family of four. We have two SUVs so I needed a rack that could get out of the way of the rear hatch WITH bikes on it. This will do that. And now I don’t need to stuff four dirty bikes into the back of my truck, getting them all tangled and scratched!

Curt 4 Bike Platform Rack - 2" Hitches - Frame Mount - Tilting
The rack worked out perfect for our shuttle up and down the mountain. It held all 4 of our 29ers with tires that are 2.5in wide

Swagman XC-Extended Bike Rack for 2 Recumbent Bikes - 1-1/4" and 2" Hitches - Frame Mount
I have bad shoulders and could no longer lift my long wheelbase recumbent bike up to my Thule rack. The new rack solved the problem and made it much easier to load the bike. Very happy I got the new Swagman rack.

Yakima FrontLoader Wheel Mount Bike Carrier - Roof Mount
Overall I am happy with these bike carriers. They mount to the racks over the bed of my Tundra TRD Pro. Installation is simple. I think they could be just a bit sturdier because there is just a bit of wobbling when driving on bumpy roads but I'm not too worried about them coming dislodged. Take note that although they come with a cable lock to attach the bike to the carrier, the key is sold separately.
Very good product. It holds the bike securely on the roof without contacting the frame. It is easy to adjust from my road bike to my 29er mountain bike. Our drives are all relatively short, so I like that I do not need to remove the front wheel to lock in the bike. It's also nice that the SKS locking system allows me to use the same key for this rack that I use for my Yakima roof box and hitch rack. This is my first roof rack and I chose this route for a couple reasons. Some of the roads we travel to get to our trail heads are a bit rough and with a roof rack I don't have to worry about bottoming out a hitch rack hanging off the back of the vehicle. Also, it takes up less room in the garage. Our vehicle is a 2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee with an additional 4 inches of ground clearance. That makes it a bit of a reach for my 5'4" wife, so we take our two-step along to help her. This is my third time purchasing from etrailer, and each experience has been very good. They are a very customer service oriented company. I really appreciate all the additional information they provide on their products, especially all the videos they produce to aid in reviews, assembly, and use.

Speaker 1: Today on our 2015 Dodge Grand Caravan we're going to be doing a test fit on the Kuat Highline Trunk Mount 2 Bike Rack, that's part number HIT2B. Now this bike rack's also available in silver if you like that and that's part number HIT2S. Now you can get both of those colors in a 3 bike version with part number HIT3B and HIT3S.So anyway I've already got it loaded up just to give you a good idea of how it's going to hold our bikes and how it's going to look on our Caravan. So it anchors our bike with three points of contact. We've got two ratchet style straps for our top tube, very simple to operate. Set your bike in place, and you just pull it down and then you're done.

Today on our 2015 Dodge Grand Caravan, we're test fitting the Swagman, XC2, platform silo bike rack, it's a two silo bike rack. It is designed to work with inch and a quarter or two inch hitches. Part number for that is S-64650. Now as you can see, we do already have our bike on here, let me show you how we mount the bike and secure it then also some features of our rack itself. Now the bike is secure here with this frame hook, it's the only thing keeping the bike in place. Now if you're worried about the straps, I can tell you with confidence reading through the reviews, that is it not a problem not having the straps down here, that the hook does well enough on its own, then you don't have to worry about that. Now to release your bike, we're first going to lift this hook up, we'll just push down on the lever here, push down on the hook just a little bit, make sure you hang onto your bike and pull the hook all the way up.

Today on our 2015 Dodge Grand Caravan, we're doing a test fit on the Sport Rack Ridge. This is a folding and tilting 5 bike rack. It's been designed for use on 2 inch hitches. Part number on it is SR20405. Now, you can see the Ridge is going to use three cradles and straps to hold our bike in place. We've got 2 up here for the top frame tube of the bike, we're also going to have 1 on the backside for an anti-sway cradle.

Now, we do have two cradles holding the bike and three straps, one on the front and then two on the back. To release those, we're just going to pull down and lift up on the straps. Today on our 2015 Dodge Grand Caravan we're going to be doing a test fit of the Thule Vertex Swing 4-bike rack, part number TH9031XT. This one only comes with a 2" shank so we're going to take that and insert it into our 2" receiver. Once you got it inserted you're going to go ahead and line up the holes and then take your provided hardware and thread it into the hole. Once you get it threaded in you're just going to take your 3/4" ratchet and tighten it down the rest of the way. This is going to eliminate a lot of this play and slack that you have in your receiver. Now that we got that nice and tightened down let's go ahead and get some clearance measurements. First measurement is going to be from here; that's about 4-1/2".

Once you got that hand tightened you can go ahead and take a 3/4" ratchet if you have one handy and tighten that up.

Today on our 2015 Dodge Grand Caravan, we'll be doing the test fit of the Saris Axis 2 Bike Rack, this is part number SA832. This comes with 1 1/4 and 2 inch shanks on it. Right now its got the sleeve on to make it a 2 inch, since we have a 2 inch receiver here today. We are going to go ahead and take your shank and insert in here into the receiver, go ahead and line up your pin holes and take your included anti rattle bolt, insert it into the shank and receiver here and you are going to tighten it down until it you get it as tight as you can with your hand and you can take a 3/4 inch ratchet and tighten it down the rest of the way. This is going to eliminate any sway, wobble, or rattle that you may have, just like so. You go ahead and take your clip that is provided as well and insert that into the anti rattle bolt.

Today on our 2015 Dodge Grand Caravan, we'll be doing a test fit on the Swagman XTC-4 this is a platform style 4 bike rack. Part Number S64665, it's got a 2 inch shank for 2 inch receivers only. Let's go ahead and fit that on the receiver here. Once you've got a fit there, we're going to go ahead and line up our pin holes. Once you've got your pin holes lined up, go ahead and place in your anti-rattle bolt. Place it in from the passenger's side and take a 7/8 inch socket and ratchet and go ahead and tighten it down all the way.

Today on our 2015 Dodge Grand Caravan, we're going to be doing a test fit on the Swagman Titan 4 bike rack. That's going to be part number S63410. That comes in an inch and a quarter and a two inch shank. Right now we've got the 2 inch receiver and we're just going to insert that and line up our holes. Once you have your holes aligned, you're going to take your anti rattle bolt that's provided, insert that and tighten as far as you can. You're going to take a three quarter inch ratchet and finish tightening that. All right, once you have that tightened down, you're just going to take your clip and insert that into the other end of your anti rattle bolt.

Today on our 2015 Dodge Grand Caravan, we will be test fitting the Swagman Trail Head tilting four-bike rack. That's part number S63380. Now, this can be used for either 2-inch hitches or 1 1/4. We can go ahead by inserting our shank into our receiver. We're looking for our pinholes to be lined up. Well, once we got that lined up, we'll take our anti-rattle bolt.

Today on our 2015 Dodge Grand Caravan, we're going to test fit the Hollywood Racks Traveler 5 Bike Rack. Part Number HR9200. This only comes with a 2 inch shank. We're going go insert that into our receiver, lining up the pin holes in the process. Once we've got that lined up, we'll go ahead and thread it in with our hand. Once you've got it threaded in as far as you can, go ahead and take a 3 1/4 inch socket and go ahead and tighten it up the rest of the way.

Today on our 2015 Dodge Grand Caravan we're going to be doing a test fit on the Hollywood Racks Traveler 4-bike rack. This bike rack comes with an 1-1/4" and 2" shank. We'll go ahead and insert that into our receiver and line up the pinholes. Once you got the pinholes lined up, take your anti-rattle bolt that's included and clip. Insert the anti-rattle bolt and thread it in as far as you can with your hand. Once you've gotten it in as far as you can with your hand, use a 3-1/4" ratchet, finish tightening.

It comes with a 2" shank, meant for your 2" receivers only. Let's go ahead and insert that shank into the receiver. Once you have that rested on there, let's go ahead and line up our pin holes. Once you get your pin holes lined up, let's go ahead and take our anti-rattle bolt that's included, and go ahead and thread that in. Get it as tight as you can by hand.

Today on our 2015 Dodge Grand Caravan, we are going to be doing the a fit of the Saris Freedom Platform Style 2 Bike Rack, part number SA4412B. This comes with your 1 1/4 shank and also comes with the 2 inch adapter. We are going to go ahead and place that on there today because we have a 2 inch receiver and insert those and we'll line up the pin holes we can insert your anti rattle bolt. Get it in as far as you can and we'll use a 3/4 inch ratchet to tighten it down the rest of the way. Once you get it nice and tight, use the clip that is provided and we'll go ahead and place that in the hole. Let's go ahead and get some measurements for clearance now. From here to your bumper this will probably be the first place of contact if your hitch goes in to far.
Saris Freedom SuperClamp Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2015 Dodge Grand Caravan
Today on our 2015 Dodge Grand Caravan, we're going to do a test fit on the Saris Freedom super clamp 2-bike rack. This is a 1-1/4" and 2" fit. The part number is SA4025. Let's go ahead and take our 2" sleeve that we have on this 1-1/4" shank and fit that into our 2" receiver that we have here today. We can go ahead and get it fit in and then line up there holes. Just tighten it down as far as you can with your hands. Once you get it down that far, you can just use a 3/4" ratchet and tighten it down the rest of the way.
Yakima FrontLoader Roof Bike Racks Review - 2015 Dodge Grand Caravan
Today on our 2015 Dodge Grand Caravan, we will be test-fitting the Yakima Front-Loaded, Roof-Mounted Bike Rack. That's part number Y02103. Our Caravan here today already has its factory rails installed, so we can go ahead and begin by putting our bike rack on top or our rails. You want to make sure that our rail goes in between this on our bike rack. What I like to do is I like to come up underneath like that and then lay it down. We'll get in the position we want, making sure that it's straight in line there. Then we'll come up here and start tightening this down.
Yakima ForkLift Roof Bike Racks Review - 2015 Dodge Grand Caravan
Today, on our 2015 Dodge Grand Caravan, we'll be test fitting the Yakima Forklift roof mounted bike rack. That's part number Y02098. Our Caravan here today already has its factory rails installed, so we can go ahead and begin. First, I want to go ahead and take our bottom cap off, makes for an easier installation. What we can do is we can push our little lock, so we can take it out. It just makes it a little bit easier to set it on top of our bars without it falling off. We'll go ahead and set it up there, and you can see how I've got it positioned.
