This part is an exact replacement to the part that failed. The failure was caused by a poor installation which allowed the rubber boot to chaff on the truck frame. As it was an exact replacement installation was straight forward although I modified the mounting bracket to prevent a reoccurrence of the problem.

I periodically pull a 12v pressure sprayer behind my lawn tractor. The 12v harness I originally made that clipped to the tractor battery was always cumbersome and became hazardous when it recently shorted out due to rubbing (and no fuse in line). So I finally took the time to do it right, mounted this connector to the rear next to the taillight, and created a hidden fused permanent harness to the battery, and of course utilized the mating connector for the sprayer harness side. This little connector was perfect, high quality materials (connector body and electrical terminals), high spring force on the cover when not in use, nice sealed design yet easy to plug/unplug. Very happy with this purchase and will likely buy it again.

I've never really liked Flat-4 type connectors. Unless you leave them dangling, they usually require that you crawl under the vehicle to connect them. (...Murphy's Law dictates that this will always be when it's raining or snowing). This Pollak 4-pole round socket, along with a Tow-Ready harness, and matching trailer connector, provides a neat, factory installed look, that's more convenient, and durable. Wiring harness and flat tow bracket to be able to tow our new Wrangler behind our motorhome. Items were simply “thrown in the box” WITH the hitch which was not secured properly. Heavy hitch then bounced around on electrical connectors, destroying them. Components should have been fastened to the hitch as the hardware kit was with strong tape instead of just thrown into the box by somebody! Refund issued.

Note to self: Always push brake pedal firmly before releasing parking brake. especially when Jeep is slightly uphill from Blue Ox tow bar. :-) This was a very quick fix, (unfortunately not quick enough, the wife saw me before I could hide it) maybe took 10 minutes total. A socket set and a small phillips screwdriver are all I needed for this replacement.

This was my original, but the pins got pushed out the back, so I tried another popular brand, only to find the all-metal assembly put the possibility of the wires shorting out within the "risky" category, so I went back to the non-metallic part, which won't "short" out and cause a problem. Fingers & toes.

This connector seems a bit heavier than the Roadmaster stock which disintegrated on the first trip with my tow car. Still made in China :-[ Good internal terminal connections and it slides together easily. We will see how it performs in the field when we hit the road next month.

Used this to replace a failing camper connector. Works fine. Four stars because it's just a cable.

7 pin connector separated from cable. I was expecting that "Molded Cable" meant that the connector was fused to the cable insulation but instead, the two separated almost immediately after I installed it. It still works fine as the wires are connected securely inside the connector but with the outer covering pulled out like this, I don't think it will last very long.

Used this as the connection point for the Roadmaster diode wiring kit. Seems to be well made and will hopefully last a long time. I did spray paint it flat black so it blends into the front bumper of my “toad” a little better.

Very sturdy and secure attachment, much better than the cheaper plastic ones that I have had break before. However, the rubber boot doesn't stay around the wire attachments

This was easy to install looks great and works excellent. have had on issues with this product my trailer lights are always working and keeping me safe.

I didn't use the male end, it's in the tool box for later use. I used the female end on the front of my Jeep GC for the light hook up to my motorhome. I used mounting bracket #118137 and wiring harness RM-154 to complete the wiring part of the set up. Everything installed nicely, and a year later is still working great.

What can you say about a 4 pin connector, It was what I needed and it was a good price.

On etrailer’s page it had etrailer name on connector, that’s what I thought I was buying. When it came it’s a Pollack. I could have bought one at my auto store. Very disappointed with the advertising of it being an etrailer item. I’ve ordered for years from them, not anymore.

Replacement for an older vehicle, arrived as promised.

We just finished a makeover of our 1995 boat trailer. New bunks, sanded and painted but the best part of the project was the new LED lights from your company. They are so much brighter than the old incandescent bulbs that you really do feel safer driving down the road. We pulled the 20 year old wire out and replaced with new and used the 3M scotch loks to tie in. We were not sure the new style grommets would fit the old holes in the frame but they fit great. Your customer service was great, alerting me to a backordered reflector but recommended a replacement that worked fine. Patrick set up a Q&A page for me since I had questions about the best way to protect connections with dielectric grease, heat shrink and tape. Your website is one of the best with ease of navigation, complete pictures, great selection and thorough info, dimensions, etc. You guys really have your act together and also offer great value.
