Excellent!

I was searching all over the Dallas/Fort Worth metroplex looking for a male 10 pin connector to mate to a 10 hole connector on a 1992 Holiday Rambler 5th wheel trailer. I spent two days going from RV stores, trailer businesses looking for the 10 pin connector. All the stores didn’t have the part or the weren’t interested in helping me. I finally ran into a gentleman who knew that a 10 pin connector existed but they didn’t have one. He directed me to etrailer and they had one. They shipped it to me and I got it in two days. Great service from sales to check out to shipping. Great Job!

These connectors completed the job of connecting my 4 camera CCTV backup system with multiplexer from my trailer to the truck cab. I needed nine wires to accomplish this function. It is too bad that you didn't carrying the 9 wire cable, but I found a company that carried it on the web.

  • How Big is the Opening On the Back of the 9-Pin Connector PK12906 for Wire to Pass Through
I went out into our warehouse to measure the diameter of the opening on the back of the Pollak 9-Pole # PK12906 that you referenced and found it to be 3/4 of an inch. The socket part # PK12907 is made of ABS plastic.

  • Convert a 7-Way Connector to a 9-Way Trailer Connector for a 1985 Fireball Travel Trailer
We do carry a couple of 9-Way connectors. The one you would need to add to your 2001 Ford would be part # PK12907. The wire color code is listed on the product page, but 9-Way connectors are very uncommon now, so I could not find information as to which position the wires should connect to. What you can do, is pull apart the trailer connector and wire the vehicle 9-Way as a mirror image so that the wires match up when the two connectors are attached. And in case you need to replace,...

  • Upgrading a 2010-2016 Ford Super Duty to 9-Pin Wiring With Separate Center Brake Light Pin
When upgrading your factory 7-way to a 9-way # PK12906 and # PK12907 as you referenced, there would need to be a separate harness made. To separate out the brake light for that separate pin, you would need to use the Curt Vehicle to Vehicle Tail Light Converter # C56196. This will give your the separate signal for the center brake light you mentioned. The other couple pins can be configured as you stated for refrigeration or aux power as you stated. For another 12V power, you will simply...

  • What Gauge Wires Should be Used with the Hopkins Connector part # HM48480
There really isn't a set maximum gauge wire that could be used on the Hopkins Connector part # HM48480. Most people will use 10 gauge wire as the max gauge for the brake output, 12 volt accessory, and ground wires. So you could easily use that gauge or slightly smaller or bigger without a problem.

  • The Best Way to Wire a 9-Way Vehicle Connector to a Trailer Side 9-Way Connector
The numbers that are given behind the colors for wiring chart of this Pollak 9-Pole # PK12907 are the gauge wire that is recommended you use for that circuit. If you need the matching 9-way trailer connector you would want a Pollak 9-Pole, Round Pin Trailer Connector # PK12906. There is not a standard wiring for 9-ways, you will need to wire the # PK12907 by function to the corresponding trailer 9-way connector. I attached an FAQ on trailer wiring that you might find helpful also.

  • Availability of Wiring Adapter to Convert 7-Way RV Connector to 9-Pole Round Pin on 1984 Jayco
9-pin connectors are rare these days. We do still offer vehicle and trailer side connectors of this type, such as # PK12907 and # PK12906, but we do not have any adapters that can convert your truck's 7-way blade-style RV connector to a 9-pole round pin type. A 9-pole connector like # PK12906 has two extra circuits (auxiliary on the gray wire and reefer on the orange) that would not be supported if fed by a 7-way socket. You'll want to swap out the truck connector using part # PK12907.

  • Installation of 7-way Trailer Connector on 2006 Nissan Titan
Yes, we have a kit, item # N40975 that will hook up to your existing wiring and provide a 7-way connector on your 2006 Nissan Titan. The kit includes the vehicle end 7-way trailer connector, relays and mounting bracket. You will have to install the relays under the hood in the passengers side fuse block (see video link). The port for the trailer wiring harness is located behind the rear bumper near the spare tire on the driver side.

  • Wiring 2001 Ford Ranger to Tow a Trailer with a 7-Way Blade, 7-Way Round, or 9-Way Round Connector
9-Way trailer connectors are pretty rare, limited to big rig trailers and large RVs. For a 7-Way blade style, you will need to install a 7 and 4 Way Installation Kit, # ETBC7. Your existing 4-Way plugs into the back of the ETBC7 and then you will need to hardwire the remaining wires. White is grounded to the vehicle frame, yellow is for reverse lights,...

  • What is Purpose of Reefer Tag/Stop Circuit on 9 Pin Trailer Wiring
The refrigerator or reefer tag line is the power feed for the thermostat that controls the cooling unit on a refrigerated trailer. It would connect to a 12-volt power source on the truck, if needed. If you are not pulling a refrigerated trailer, the circuit could be used for another purpose or just left unconnected if you do not need it. I have provided a wiring diagram for a 9-way connector that you might find helpful. If this circuit is not complete the refrigerator will not work.

You have already identified six of the functions on your 7-way, 1) Tail/Running Lights 2) Left Turn/Stop 3) Right Turn/Stop 4) Reverse 5) Brake Controller Output 6) 12V power. The only wires not identified were the ground wire - which make sense if you were testing it with a circuit tester because it would not have an identifiable function - and the other is likely the third brake light wire. If you take a look at the diagram I added you can see the standard pin functions of a vehicle-side...
