Most Popular Draw-Tite for 2005 Ford Escape

This is a well constructed unit. Being a mechanic helped make the installation easier. The only problem came when I was short one backing nut and one Std nut was the wrong size for the thread. Since I had a proper strength nut available in my shop the delay was short. The instructions were scant but the illustration was sufficient to figure out after careful study. A+ for the unit D for the parts collator. My unit went on a 2005 Ford Escape. The fit was perfect. 1 Hour assembly time plus 1/2 half hour securing missing parts.

Overall, I am extremely satisfied with the products I bought. Your communications are excellent; shipping was performed in an expedient manner and the tracking of the packages was much appreciated. I'm not sure I'll be buying anything else from you (I can't imagine needing another tow bar again) but will surely recommend your company if asked.

I hooked up the draw bar today for the first time to the trailer that I built and the hitch I installed. The draw bar uses a cotter pin that slides on the bolt rather than going through a hole to mount the bar to the hitch. I have never used a sliding on pin in anything - I've only used those that go through a small hole matching the pin. This includes my farm tractor and other tools. I hope it is secure because it does slide on easily. The bar itself appears nice and strong.

To be honest, I use it upside down. I needed a hitch with rise, but none were available at time of purchase, and yours, inverted, works perfectly! The welds are regularly checked and remain all secure. It's a good hitch.

With a receiver hitch already installed on a ford escape all my receivers are 2 inch but the one on the escape is 1 1/2 inch so I had a problem that etrailer had a solution for , the proper sized hitch that works great .

Works perfectly. Needed a tow bar with very little rise and would clear the bumper. Thankfully, etrailer has a huge selection of equipment so you can find the right piece.
