I very much appreciate the expedited shipping and the follow-up. Appears all made it in good shape. Have put you guys on my favs along with Harbor freight, Home Depot, Cabella's, and Big 5.-----Tell more when installed. Will only use on occasion at Tree Farm.

My current bw companion says on it that you can not use it with the sidewinder. Used the chat to get info on using my existing sidewinder on my new truck. The person from etrailer built me a cart with everything I needed. Except it's not compatible. I have a Ford with the factory prep. They told me there was no way to use it. I got the rail system they recommended only to find out that it doesn't work. Also this wedge they recommended doesn't not fit the sidewinder. Just buy local and save the headache. Now I have to schedule a Ups drop off and leave work early to bring 300lbs of boxes to ship back.

So far everything has worked out great. The hitch was received quickly and the assembly was very easy, with directions very clear. The hitch installed into the existing rails as the person who helped me said thy would. I have not yet hooked up to my 5th wheel because it is in storage for the winter but as easy as it works I have no doubt it will work great.

This can be easily put together and installed by one person. I had to put the base into the universal rails loosely and then torque the bolts to spec. This hitch was an upgrade.from the autoslide hitch I originally purchased for my 5th wheel. The noise and banging has disappeared. This hitch was well worth the money. I also purchased the custom fit wedge for my pinbox. I don't believe I could be any happier with this hitch.

This hitch is has certainly served its purpose. Easy to use and reliable. My only complaint is that I can't seem to separate the hitch plate from the base. I thought it would be easier to separate the two components.

We have the turning point pin on our rig so we had to get a wedge. I don't know if it was the wedge or the hitch but unless we were perfectly straight and level, we couldn't hitch up. Same with unhitching. After the 3rd time of not being able to unhitch without taking the entire head of the hitch off, we locked up the turning point and got a new hitch and do not use a wedge. Also, with only a bar going across, the pin seemed to wiggle around a lot.

They advertise you can be within 3” of hitch and still connect I found that you need to be almost perfect. And to latch and unlatch there can’t be any pressure going up or weight going down, you have about a 1/4” to play with. I found it to be rougher when pulling than a normal fifth wheel hitch. It is very light though.

We have the Anderson Hitch installed on our 2017 Ford SuperDuty and pull a Reflection 337RLS. We have traveled over 4,000 miles and have been extremely satisfied. The hitch allows plenty of clearance between 5th wheel, bed, and the truck cab. Hook-up and disconnect has always been easy, even with RV lots that were uneven dirt lots. I use Curt thin rubber sound dampeners (item 16900) and this provides a quiet, tight fit between the rails and hitch. Of course the light weight makes it easy to remove when not towing and less weight when you are towing. A great product for the right truck, trailer combination.

Parts arrived for the DM 8550043, received only the hitch base plate and adjustable shaft for the hitch head. Have been told that the hitch head is shipped separately. Now have a problem with the hitch plate fitting the bed rails. The holes for the pin that secures the hitch plate to the rails are to close to the bottom of the hitch plate photos are given of the problem a pencil was used for reference. There is NO WAY the pin will go through the rail and hitch plate. Waiting on a solution from etrailer. The hole that you can barely see the pencil is tailgate rails pin fits fine.

The truck that got the install is a 2002 Ford F350 Super Duty 7.3 L Diesel dually. The Demco Recon 5th wheel hitch (DM8550043) looks like a well made, heavy duty hitch. All the welds are precise and well done. I like the single wrap around jaw with the real thick bar that backs that up. The handle that pulls out to unlock the jaw moves with ease and locks in the out position when the jaw opens. When the king pin comes in contact with the back of jaw, the jaw wraps around the king pin, the handle closes, you put in the safety pin and your ready to go RVing. I chose the Husky Custom Rails and installation kit (HT31405-686) for my install. The reason I chose these rails over the ones that etrailer had matched up for the hitch is, I had previously installed a set of Airlift Airbags and I didn't want the rail install to interfere with the airbags. It was a good choice, there was no interference at all. If I had not had the bags, I would have chose the rails and install kit that require no drilling. Drilling the holes went very fast and easy, it was torking the rear bolts down that was very difficult. There was not enough room to get a wrench of any kind around the nut. I wound up using a set of vise grips on the nut while a friend of mine torked the bolt slowly from above. All and all I'm happy with the product and I'll give another review in a year.

Finally got my new B&W Companion Gooseneck to 5th wheel hitch installed in the bed of my 2024 Ford F250 Lariat. While I have not pulled my fifth wheel yet, I have hooked up to check clearances, etc. first thing I noticed was how easy hooking up and unhooking was with this witch. This hitch is solid and I look forward to many miles traveling with it. My truck has 6.7 foot bed and in the picture I will send you will notice I still had room for a 43 gallon auxiliary fuel tank. I wanted to be able to easily utilize my truck bed and this hitch provides that in spades! Easy to remove and install. I absolutely have to give a shout out to Paula on customer service. She was amazing! My first shipment was damaged and missing a vital part. Paula had another one shipped right away and made my return shipment a breeze. She stayed in contact with me to the end. I felt like she shared in my joy once the install was complete! The hitch is super adjustable for optimal placement in the bed and height of the trailer. Make a few quick measurements and it just goes together quickly. Love the dual jaw release lever. Our last 5th wheel hitch had the standard pull to release lever and it was often very difficult to operate. This lever style is a game changer. Overall, I couldn't be more pleased with the product and customer service!

Just received yesterday, will be having it installed on Monday and will be pulling my new camper home next Saturday. Will update afterwards with pics

I am very pleased with my purchase of the Reese M5, a major improvement over my old receiver. Great service from etrailer as well.

This is a top notch, very well built hitch. Dropped right in to my oem puck system on a 2024 Chev 2500 hd. The first hookup was so smooth that I wasn’t sure I was even on my kingpin. E trailer had it delivered the next day from ordering!! The other important thing to note is this hitch takes up a 17” x 30” footprint which is way smaller than an Andersen base.

Like most say the packaging could be better. But it came without any scratches and looks awesome. Didn’t take long to install. Directions were easy. Can’t wait to try it out! As always, eTrailer rocks. Will continue to purchase from them.

This hitch is average at best. It has been garage kept and already sticking and not opening properly. I have owned a 5th wheel camper my entire life and the 2 prior hitches was never serviced and gave no issues. I would not recommend this hitch to no one....

This 5th wheel has exceeded all my expectations. It’s worked flawlessly for thousands of miles and many different type of 5th wheels trailers. Not a peep, B&W FTW!!

Very good quality and well made fifth wheel hitch...No problems

Only thing it was missing was the bolts nuts washer lock washers and the pins for the fifth wheel where I couldn’t put the legs on it everything else was good good fifth wheel.

Hitch works great, can now hook up to trailer without having to stop & put up tailgate, then finish backing up. Tailgate would hit front of trailer when hooking up. The two things I didn’t like as well as others, the box with the base unit was tore up, but unit was fine , and the cotter pins for puck latches need to include extras, or make holes bigger for keeper pins. Also added small chains to hairpins that hold look pins for top so they don’t get lost.

I ordered it on Monday and received it on Wednesday! The B&W Companion hitch fit perfect on my F-350 and was easy to install. The instructional videos on the website are great!! Of all the products I have purchased from E-Trailer, the CURT 5th wheel hitch has been the most disappointing. After installing the unit, I noticed workmanship items that are not consistent with a high quality unit. The legs and main body did not consistently align and there is excessive chucking (in my opinion) that occurs while traveling. When I addressed this with CURT, I received no response regarding the misalignment and was told the chucking was within industry standards! Two previous 5th wheel hitches did not "chuck" as this unit does. When I addressed these concerns with E-Trailer and requested a refund, I was informed since the unit had been installed no refund was allowable. I asked how I would hear/feel the chucking w/o installing and got no viable response then as well. I will eventually go with a GenY gooseneck adapter. Do not support CURT, they do not stand behind their products and customer service is pretty much nonexistent!!

Just installed my 5th wheel. (mechanically inclined) 30 minutes and done. Whoever thought of the puck system in the newer trucks is a genius! BW made this bad boy heavy duty. Was all I could do to lift frame in place. Put in place loosened all bolts and it fit in place like a glove. Torqued bolts and cannot wait to get my new toyhauler hitched up!!

Out with the old and in with the new companion fifth wheel hitch. I bought them both from etrailer. The 16K fifth wheel hitch was purchased for my Silverado without a Puck system then I traded it in two years later for a Ram Laramie 3500 dually with a puck system. Stayed with B&W hitches because they are built to last and easy to use. etrailer my,"go to site". Yes it was a huge upgrade going from 16k patriot to a 25k companion hitch and worth every penny. ETrailer is absolutely the best. They repeatedly overdrive on their commitments. I am always impressed either the quality of their customer service, the speed of their shipping, and their prices. Now the hitch, B&W is top notch. The products are always high quality down to the smallest components. This hitch, like the slider that's on my other truck, is seriously heavy duty and I cannot imagine it failing in any situation. I am confident that no matter the circumstance the hitch will not be if concern.

Install was easy and the hitch performs perfectly. I have ZERO complaints. Even a year later, it performs great.

I traded my Curt 16k slider hitch for this new crosswing It definitely moved my trailer back 5 inches and I do not see the need for the slide hitch I rarely used. It is lightweight and easy to manage by yourself ( my old one was just too heavy ) The new hitch has nearly eliminated all of the chucking and bucking.

I am very happy with the hitch. The turning radius has been great and because of this hitch, I do not need to have a sliding style hitch as originally suggested by most sources.

I have ran a cheap competitor hitch for several years. A manufacturing defect (welded pivot pin) caused the hitch to fail and resulted in 18000$ damage to my truck and trailer. I chose the Curt 25000# hitch after much research and found it to be very well made and clearly shows when it is properly coupled. It is quiet and operates with minimal klunking and chunking going down the road. Overall I am very pleased.

Mounted this hitch on my flatbed 3500 Ram and the hitch works flawlessly. Pull 44' tri-axle weighing in at 23,000# with ease. Very easy to use and understand, very easy to maintain.

I like it’s design and how it sits in the bed. It seems to want to rotate some while pulling. I see some reviews that other people are having this problem also. Some have put a bolt down through the base into the truck bed. I haven’t wanted to do that as of yet. Otherwise I like the hitch.

Etrailer description failed to mention that this would not work with a B&W OEM prep ball. They did have a recommendation for a ball so add $[XX] plus a month wait for the ball that works.
