Does not fit all trailers! This isn't the fault of etrailers but it was an expensive lesson for me and now I'm stuck with an expensive doorstop that I can't use. The product information should be very clear that this is not compatible with all trailers.

I have it installed on my 2010 Merhow 3H slant load living quarters Horse trailer. I pull it with my 2011 Ram 2500 mega cab. This product works great with have the 6.5 ft. bed. I never have to worry about damaging my back cab or windows if I get in a tight spot. I highly suggest this product.

Glad to see etrailer.com carry some fabricating parts. Modified this coupler to convert a fifth wheel to goose neck. Excellent product!

I cranked down on the bolts on my trailer and it still slipped in the tube. Be sure to drill through holes and put a hitch pin in it if you actually haul any weight. I love the ball lock mechanism, but I use a lock to ensure it doesn't come unlocked by something in the bed of my truck. The cushion part seems to damper some of the jarring when hitting bumps with the trailer.

This is probably the way all gooseneck trailers should come from the manufacture. I put it on my 30 ft. equipment trailer for my transport business. The first job was 147 miles empty to pick up an excavator bucket & return the 147 miles. I pull with a Dodge ram 2500 4x4 Cummins turbo diesel. Amazing difference on driver comfort, cushioning to a degree that relieves the stress & fatigue i felt from the pounding before installing the CG i know is easier on the pickup as well. THANKS

Installed on a 20' gooseneck, the old one would not latch without beating it closed. The new one was installed by a local welding shop, works perfectly, simply pull the locking mechanism out slide it to the rear and the lock is engaged, just as easy to disconnect

I recieved your new gooseneck piece for the repair on my trailer I bought that was built from scratch of an old man that passed away I bought from his window and have not yet had the opportunity to replace the old piece that would not interact with most other gooseneck applications because the pipe was not large enough to fit other applications out there so decided to change it to be compatible with other trailers

I really like how the coupler works. After running a cable to the handle, I never have to get in the bed to connect or disconnect the trailer from my pickup. The only thing I don’t like is, I cannot find a lock for it.

I have a gooseneck adapter on my 5th wheel that is VERY similar to this one, and I LOVE it!! It has a cable that runs from the latch up to the neck, and out, so I just pull the cable to un-latch... no climbing into the bed!! It also auto-latches as you lower the hitch onto the ball, which is nice! This one is going on a trailer I'm building, and I'm sure I'll like it just as much! E-trailer is always great for information and orders ship fast and correctly. I'll be back for more, I'm sure!!

In my specific case, this worked perfectly. Made another hole in coupler to drop front end of trailer an additional 4”. Turned out great! I currently have a B&W Companion 5th wheel hitch. Love the both!

I have used this coupler many times the last three have come in awful the bottom plate was not indexed correctly which makes the bottom hole useless. The bottom plate was missing 1/3 of the weld but the drain hole was welded over sharp edges everywhere there was a cut . Ram Trailer products does not take phone calls one email was returned to me it only said try flipping the pin

Heavy duty build quality

Came exactly as descried. Replaced an old worn out goose neck hitch where the top side of the ball pocket was worn through and paper thin. New hitch has held up great for thousands of miles so far.

I just received this goosneck hitch coupler in the mail. After opening the box it was everything that the description said. It seems to have good solid welds and the coupler seams so function smoothly. I will be installing it on my dump trailer that I'm building in the weeks to come. I do not see any reason thus far why this product should fail or give me problems. I compared it too a goosneck trailer that I purchased new and have used a lot over the years and it looks like a identical coupler. So far I would recommend this product if your building or repairing your goosneck trailer.

Great gooseneck coupler. I had a gooseneck coupler on my 5th wheel travel trailer but I couldn't let the tailgate down with the trailer hooked up without it hitting the trailer. I used this bulldog coupler to build a coupler with the coupler in front of the tongue box. Gives me 10 inches additional clearance for the tailgate and trailer. Very fast shipping on the coupler. Ordered on Monday and received on Wednesday.

Nice coupler but DO NOT USE this coupler in a recessed ball hitch on a flat bed! The handle did not clear the sides of hole and the first turn i made snapped her off.

Only needed the lower tube. Wish Bulldog would offer this, otherwise exactly what I needed to replace my old rusted tube.
