Hi everybody. Andy here with etrailer. Let's take a quick look at this CURT T-connector vehicle wiring harness with four pole flat trailer connector. Now this harness has been designed to fit your 2025 to current Volkswagen ID-Buzz and on custom fit parts such as this harness, I do recommend taking advantage of our vehicle fit guide here at etrailer. Just pop in the year, make, and model of your vehicle and our fit guide will confirm if this harness will work for you or if we have something comparable that will work for you. But this harness is designed to make adding trailer lights to your vehicle really straightforward.

Even if you're not super experienced with wiring, the biggest advantage is that this is a custom fit for your ID-Buzz. So this is going to plug right into your existing wiring. And what's nice about that is no cutting or complicated splicing is gonna be needed with this harness. Once it's connected, it's going to power all of the basic trailer lights like your brake lights, turn signals, and running lights. So everything's gonna stay safe and legal when you're towing.

And as you can see here, our four-way flat does have this tethered cap here included. So you can just put that cap over the four-way plug when it's not in use to keep that nice and clean. Now this uses what is typically called a powered converter. This is going to connect directly to your vehicle's battery. And this is important 'cause this is going to protect your vehicle's electrical system from being overloaded, especially with newer vehicles that have more sensitive electronics.

The wiring itself is insulated to help prevent shorts or interference, and it's built to handle the elements with weather resistant materials and sealed connections. So you're not gonna have to worry about corrosion over time. As for installation, this kit is going to come with everything that you need to get this installed. You're going to get a fuse, connectors, cable ties, the wiring here, everything that you're gonna need along with instructions. So you're not gonna have to run, make extra trips to the hardware store to get bits and pieces of other bits of hardware wiring that you think you're gonna need.

This is going to include everything that you're going to need. Now, typically you're just going to need to access your vehicle's wiring harness to plug this in. That usually can be found behind trim panels, under the cargo floor. You might have to lift some carpet or remove a panel, but once you get to it, the actual install is gonna be relatively straightforward. Again, the instructions will guide you through where you can find that wiring harness on your Volkswagen. It is also recommended that you use a small amount of dielectric grease on all of your electrical connections, like the plugs on your vehicle and the four pole flat connector itself. That grease is designed to help prevent electrical failures caused by corrosion and moisture. So on your screen, I do have our part number for that grease.
