Hi, everyone. Steve here with etrailer.com. Today we're looking at our Westin Fey SureStep Rear Bumper. Folks, this is what they consider a silver powder coat finish, and this is gonna fit more likely your late 1970s to late 1990s trucks, different years and makes and models. So please check our fit guide, reach out to us if you're not sure if this will fit. Also keep in mind, we do sell custom brackets for your specific vehicle to match up with this if that's something you need as well.
Now this replacement rear bumper is gonna create a nice, sturdy step, and also give you that replacement bumper you've been looking for. So whether yours is rusted out, maybe you dented it or it's just time for something new and better looking on the finish, this matches all factory specs. It's gonna fit your vehicle styling. And in my opinion, it's both really good looking, and it has a nice utilitarian look as well. On the top here, you got this black molded polymer plastic construction topper.
And zooming in, you can see that a little bit better now, and you can see it's got some ridges and stuff in it. You got your license plate, bracket holes, you got your two license plate wedged chrome plastic house lights. You're gonna get the included lights, hardware, and wires for wiring them up. And as you probably know, these just kind of go in the back of the wedge and they kind of twist and lock into place on the backside of that wedge. And then they're illuminating your license plate at night.
You got three one inch diameter holes here in the bottom. And of course, this middle one's gonna be for your ball, and these two side ones will be your safety chain hookups. As you can see, it's pretty thick down here. It's rated 800 pounds tongue weight, 8,000 pounds towing capacity. Again, it's got that nice finish on it.
Again, they're calling it a silver powder coat over steel. I'm calling it more of a gray myself, but everyone sees things different, right So a great, quick, easy bolt-on installation. You shouldn't have to do any drilling whatsoever. Again, custom brackets and hardware are sold separately. If you already have your preexisting hardware and your brackets are good to go and you know that for a fact, then hey, this will probably work for you just fine. But again, if you do need that bracket and hardware sold separately, reach out to us. We'll help you pick out the right ones. I got the bumper very quickly. It was very nice.
It was beautiful. Right up until the UPS jerk dropped it on the end and bent the bumper. There could have been better packing material to protect the ends. Can't wait until I get my replacement tomorrow.
Bumper is fine; no problems. But the accompanying instructions......that's another matter. You would think that replacing a bumper would be straightforward--nuts and bolts. But there are mounting brackets, and holes drilled for vehicles other than yours, and the illustrations were, frankly, deficient. Yes, I finally figured it out. But clearer illustrations would have saved me a number of hours, and would have earned the product a 5th star.

We were in the midst of moving when I realized my original 1992 Nissan pick-up bumper was rusted thru from the inside out. It sort of collapsed when I tried pulling our trailer. E-Trailer got us our new bumper within a week, and I got it mounted that evening. Even had the little connectors to hook up the license plate lights that came with it. Took me less than 3 hours to take off the old "mess" and put the new one on. Looks great, pulls my trailer, and we still got moved into our new home before the end of the month! God is Good!

I got this at a significant discount due to some small scratches. Since it is for a work truck, this does not concern me. Given what I paid for it, the quality is satisfactory. There is a rippled effect behind where the license plate goes, I believe it to be a defect in the finish.
As far as eTrailer goes, I have 0 complaints and I appreciate the opportunity to get the bumper I needed at a fraction of the market cost. Shipping was reasonable, it arrived quickly and as described.
The bumper looks fine. With the custom installation kit, it did not fit very well. If that kit was used, the tailgate would open all the way down. The shop had to lower the bumper between 1” to 2”, so tailgate would go all the way down.
It was good bought a truck 96 ford 7.3 with 75,000 bumper was the only thing messed up got this one it perfect. I’m up put up pics of the rear bumper just wanted to show how clean my truck is first. Lol
The bumper was very easy to install and looks much better than the broken, bent one that was on the truck. I was going to upload a picture but the site keeps taking mute upload unsuccessful.
I put the year of my truck and what make it was and it’s still too small by like a foot. I’m not sure what they sent me or what it’s for, but it does not fit any 74 Chevy K 10 series.
Finally got my Bumper, but it was Not etrailers fault UPS delivered to someone else and had to track it down. The Staff at etrailer where very helpful and courteous. Great Bumper for my 96 Ford F-150

Great bumper for my truck! Highly recommend! My 1990 Toyota pickup was without bumper for 2 years and it looked horrible. I ordered one from etrailer and it was installed by my mechanic; the truck looks like new again. A great experience and will use them again if needed.

Bumper is perfect, almost, it was scuffed up from shipping. It is an upgrade from what I wanted and glad we went with the 20022 over the 20002.
The install kit works, but did not have the right bolts for my install. I need 4 14mm bolts for my 1975 Ford supercab camper special. The bolts were also about 10mm to short to get completely thought the weld nuts on the frame.
The other issue with the brackets is it sets the bumper 1.5 inches out from stock, this interferes with the spare tire carrier. (rear mount, not common)
I searched for a bumper that would fit my sons 94 Toyota Pickup and the website was so easy to search to ensure I got the right fit. And when I called Paul was super helpful in making sure I had the right part number and helped me get the hitch ball for it as well. So worth it!!!! my son is going to be super excited. Thank you Paula, and etrailer most definitely coming back for anything else this truck needs. So worth the purchase. See the before and after pics.
My '85 4Runner (purchased new) was "rear ended" last year and I was finally able to find a replacement bumper at etrailer. (Toyota no longer supports parts for '85 4runners.) I was very happy with this new bumper...it looks better and was actually heavier and stronger than the original. I highly recommend etrailer. See before and after pictures.
The hardest part was getting the old bumper off after that the new bumper and hardware bolted right up. Perfect fit for my 1996 Ford Ranger. I couldn't be more pleased.

Mounts easily. Only thing I would change is the license plate lights should adapt to the Toyota connector.

Ordered this bumper after ordering a previous one which did not fit my 78 F100 sent it back with a shipping label provided by etrailer. The second bumper fit nicely and really made a difference in the looks of my truck! Haven't taken any pics yet but I will and post later! Thanks Teresa.
