Hi, everyone, Steve here with etrailer. Let's take a look at the top and bottom Mounting Rails for the Thule VeloTrack Bike Racks. So, folks, this is a required part. This mounting rail kit provides the top and bottom attachment points that you're gonna need to install the VeloTrack Bike Rack. It's a no-drill installation. It allows the rack to be glued and clamped securely to the rear door.
Now, the direct compatibility is designed specifically for use with only the VeloTrack system, so make sure you're double-checking that Fit Guide at etrailer.com and double-checking this is gonna work with your setup. Now, the structure's support gonna create that stable foundation as you saw from the image for that rear door-mounted bike transport, and you're gonna get two of these rubberized strips. They're gonna snap right in place here and you can cut them to length as needed once you get your other parts installed and everything to fill in those gaps around them.
