Speaker 1: Today we are going to take a look at the replacement lock cylinder for the bolt toolbox latch and it's from codes to the Dodge key.Now this part will work with the Chrysler Dodge Jeep vehicles. What I would recommend if you need to find out the vehicle this will work on is go to the product page of this part number and at the very bottom of the page it will have a list of vehicles that it will work on.Now you can use this replacement locks cylinder to replace a broken bolt cylinder in your toolbox latch or you can change it out to fit a different ignition key. This lock will use your vehicles ignition key so you'll always have the right key with you and the way you coded to the lock is you just insert your ignition key into this both cylinder. Turn the key once and then the lock is permanently coded to the key.This does offer a six plate tumbler sidebar to prevent any picking or bumping of the lock and it is a weatherproof, automotive quality construction. It uses a stainless steel lock shutter to keep out any dirt and moisture from the cylinder and as I mentioned it will lock automatically when the key is removed.One note I do want to mention is that the bolt locks permanently code to only one vehicle so they cannot be recoded or re-keyed. But that should do it for the review on the replacement lock cylinder for the bolt toolbox latch that codes to the Dodge key..

Excellent idea, excellent product, excellent retailer! There cannot be enough good said of etrailer and the product line they offer. There is no reason to look elsewhere you’ll just be disappointed. As for the product you’ve just deleted the need for a set of keys and this set is now unique to your ignition on the vehicle it’s mounted on. Simple process to change them out 15-30 minutes depending on your skill set. My only hesitation was how well will the lock cylinders work with the ignition key? Perfectly is the answer.
These things work great!!! I like only having to use one key for my vehicle and the locks on my canopy. I did have to modify them slightly for them to work on my canopy, but they work.

After a year, these are still working great. I did have one that needed some repairfrom my modifications, but it’s back working great now.

These BOLT locks are absolutely great! Ingenious design that lets you use one key for your truck and the lock. I had purchased a second hand commercial truck topper that had three locks that were keyed to the former owner's truck. The truck topper dealer wanted a whole bunch of money to replace the entire T handles. These solved my problem and the price beat another site!! Very pleased with etrailer! etrailer saved the day and shipping was very fast!

This was just the fix I needed for my Leer utility cap. They fit perfectly and were much cheaper than having a local locksmith re-key all three locks! Thanks to etrailer, my tools are safe again!

The locks were a direct replacement. Coding the lock to my key was tougher than expected, the cylinders took a bit of effort to turn to code. But once the locks were coded, they fit great and worked as desired.
I ordered three of this item for my 2022 Ram 1500 contractor cap. They were an exact replacement part for my topper and keyed to my fob perfectly. I could not be happier!! You mentioned that you did not realize the lock cylinder did not come with keys. I wanted to ask if it was a Bolt lock cylinder that you needed? This lock cylinder uses your Dodge vehicle key as in it codes to it. It is the replacement lock core for part # BL7022699.
