I have two of these locks on a tonneau cover that I will be getting rid of shortly. The truck that is is going to is a friends dakota, which I have a dakota also. The cylinder is keyed to my ignition key. How do I rekey it to fit his key?

What you will need is a replacement lock cylinder part # BL692916 since once the lock core has been keyed to a key there is no way to change the key. Only solution is a new lock core which the correct one for a Dodge Dakota is the # BL692916.
