Features to know about

Keeps Every Trailer Level: 6" Adjustable Drop or Rise

Whether it’s a camper, equipment trailer, or boat hauler, keeping the trailer level makes all the difference in how it tows. This adjustable aluminum ball mount gives you up to a 6" drop or a 6" rise, with 1" height adjustments so you can dial in the perfect setup for any load. The locking mechanism keeps the ball platform secure, so once you’ve got it set, it stays put mile after mile.

Handles Serious Loads: Rated for 20,000 lbs GTW and 2,000 lbs TW

When you’re pulling heavy gear, you don’t want to question your hitch. This Trimax HD mount is built for Class V duty with a 20,000 lbs gross towing weight rating and a 2,000-lb tongue weight limit. It’s made for heavy-duty use—commercial trailers, big campers, and equipment haulers—all without flexing under pressure.

Strong Yet Lightweight: Solid Aluminum Construction

The solid aluminum build cuts down on weight but doesn’t compromise one bit on strength. It’s corrosion-resistant by nature and doesn’t rust like steel can after long exposure to rain or road salt. The aluminum shank has a clean silver finish that stays looking good even after heavy use.

Ready for Multiple Trailer Types: Dual-Ball System (2" and 2-5/16")

If you switch between different trailers often, the dual-ball setup saves time and hassle. One side gives you a 2" chrome ball for standard trailers, the other a 2-5/16" chrome ball for heavier loads. Flip between them quickly without tools and keep all your trailers ready to go with one dependable mount.

Built for Easy Use: Thoughtful Dimensions That Fit Real-World Towing

From the center of the hitch pin hole to the center of the hitch ball measures 9-1/2" on the first pin hole and 10-1/2" on the second, giving you flexibility in how far it sits out from your receiver. Adjustability is straightforward thanks to clearly spaced 1" increments—just set your height, secure the pins, and you’re ready to tow.

Video Transcript for Review of Trimax Locks Trailer Hitch Ball Mount - Aluminum HD Adj 2 Ball 2-1/2 Inch Hitch - TMX97QR

Hi, everybody. Andy here with etrailer.com. Let's take a real quick look at this Trimax aluminum HD adjustable two-ball mount for your 2 1/2 inch trailer hitch receiver. This durable aluminum ball mount, as I mentioned, is going to fit into your 2 1/2 inch trailer hitch receiver. And with a 20,000 pound gross trailer weight rating and a 2,000 pound tongue weight limit, this is gonna be able to handle the demands of Class 5 towing, meaning that this is gonna be suitable for hauling commercial trailers, large campers and equipment. And this is going to be very flexible because it's adjustable.

It's going to give you a 6-inch adjustable drop or rise when you flip this over to ensure a level towing for different trailer heights. And it's gonna be very easy to get that adjustment that you're looking for. So I'm just gonna go ahead and pull this clip. And then when you remove the pin, that's going to allow you to easily get that height adjustment that you're looking for. And then when you are wanting to swap out the ball, I've got this currently set on the 2 5/16 inch ball.

Just gonna go ahead and pull this all the way out like that. And then as you can see inside the platform, a pin is holding that combo ball into place. So I'm just going to switch this over to the 2-inch ball, drop this back down to the place. And so now I'm ready to use my 2-inch ball. Lemme go ahead and slide my pin back into place right here.

And it's going to be, as you can see, pretty easy to get this adjustment. Obviously, this is going to work a lot better when you have this in your trailer hitch receiver, but that's. Now I'm ready to use my 2-inch ball. So, very easy to use. Speaking of using the balls here, that 20,000 pound gross towing weight is with a 2 5/16 inch ball.

When you use the 2-inch ball, it's going to be 8,000 pounds. It's indicated here on the ball itself. This does adjust in 1-inch increments for basically a hassle-free setup. And then if you we inchesre wondering about some measurements, I went ahead and took some. Measuring from the center of the ball to the center of our first hitch pin hole, we're sitting at 9 1/2 inches. To the second hitch pin hole, 10 1/2 inches. And then from the center of the second hitch pin hole to the end of the shank, about 1 3/4 quarters inches. So this is built for heavy-duty towing. It is engineered for industrial and commercial use, so it's gonna be perfect for towing large trailers, equipment, heavy loads. It's built from solid aluminum, giving you not only that strength without extra weight, but it's also going to be resistant to corrosion. So this is going to be great to use, like, for boat trailers, in particular, towing and all sorts of various different kinds of weather conditions as well. Now, if you do decide that this is going to be exactly what you need, we'd love to hear back from you regarding your experience with getting this set into place and using it. And you can share those experiences with us by dropping a comment or a review on this product page. We would definitely love to hear back from you. One thing I did fail to mention is this does not come with a hitch pin and clip. So if you don't have one that's compatible with this, you would have to pick one up. However, I look at this as an investment that you're making, so I would definitely recommend checking out our hitch pin lock options that we carry here at etrailer.com. So this is secured. You're not gonna have to worry about someone coming by and yanking this off the back of your vehicle when you're not there. Well, that's gonna wrap up our look today. I do hope that it was helpful for you. Again, my name is Andy, thank you for joining me.
