Anyone who tows knows how harsh bumps and jolts can feel through the truck and trailer. The Shocker HD Max Black Air Cushioned 2-Ball Mount uses an air bag and cushioned bumpers to absorb road shock and reduce chucking. That means less stress on your truck, trailer, and your own ride. The heavy-duty air system acts like a mini suspension between your hitch and coupler, keeping things steady even on uneven pavement.
Not every trailer weighs the same or rides at the same height. With this mount, you can fine-tune both. Adjust the air bag pressure using the built-in valve to dial in just the right cushioning for your load—stiffer for heavy hauls, softer for lighter runs. The ball platform offers 5 available drop positions from 0" to 4-1/2" so you can tow different trailers level every time without fuss.
When it’s time to move serious weight, this mount’s ready. The 2-5/16" ball handles up to 20,000 lbs gross towing weight with a 2,000 lb tongue weight, while the 2" ball is rated for 10,000 lbs GTW and 1,000 lbs tongue weight. Grade 50 steel plates and a cold-rolled steel shank give it true heavy-duty durability, and the matte black powder coat resists rust and road grime trip after trip.
If you tow more than one trailer, switching shouldn’t be a chore. This setup includes both 2" and 2-5/16" balls built into one platform. Just pull the large D-handle pins, adjust or flip the mount as needed, and you’re ready to hook up again—no tools or separate mounts required. The one-piece ball and platform design keeps everything solid and secure once pinned in place.
Long hauls can wear down gear if you can’t keep it lubed. This mount makes upkeep easy with a grease zerk fitting at the pivot point so you can keep everything moving smoothly. The accessible design keeps service straightforward while giving you a hitch that stays quiet, smooth, and dependable over time.

Hello, neighbors. It's Brad here from Etrailer and today I'm at N.A.T.M and this convention brings a lot of the vendors that we have at Etrailer to a convention where we have their booths and their products set up. I had a chance to catch up with quite a few of them. So let's take a look at their products a little bit up close in, ask some of the questions to those vendors about their products. I'm here with Hunter from Shocker Hitch and they have some products that really stand out from any other towing components. They have some cool technology.
So first and foremost, Hunter, what is Shocker Hitch So Shocker Hitch, what we do is we essentially take the air ride concept that's been around for a long time and we're putting it on a trailer hitch. Now in a sense we're taking that connection and sending it through an airbag now, kinda letting the pickup and trailer do their own thing going down the road instead of fighting each other. So now what we're doing is we're absorbing that energy that transfers between the two, sending it through our airbag. So now it's not going through the frames of everything, which then it creates a smooth ride for you. Creates a smooth ride for what's in or on the trailer.
Plus then it just helps with longevity of the equipment. You know, now we're taking care of the equipment and not having all that shock go through and you know, drive, train, welds, I mean all that stuff. You betcha. Yeah. Yeah.
And that's as he mentioned, you know, as you tow a lot of people look for truck suspension enhancements or things along those nature, but having the connection point where two metal objects hit have cushion, you're right, it translates to that whatever you have race cars, horses, whatever it may be, that's gonna keep all of your components that you have on your trailer safe down the road. Right. Yep. Yeah. And most, you know, most of the convention, like the air suspension on your pickup of your trailer, that's an up and down cushioning effect that they're doing there.
Our hitch we are doing some up and down, but the true focus on our hitch is the forward and back tug that you're getting and that's where we're essentially being a great compliment to those systems with ours is you got the up and down with the majority of that, then you're getting that tug and cushion with ours. So ball mounts. Hunter Yep. You just kind of offer, obviously, you know, you hook it up, you'd be able to tow your trailer and have that cushioning, but also as you fill it doesn't, it kinda acts as an anti-rattle at the same time, doesn't it Yeah, exactly. So our bumper hitches are kind of our staple, you know, this was the first product that we came out with and then everything else kind of followed. So this was our staple and this is what we've really focused on for. I shouldn't say really focused, but this has been kind of our staple for a long time. So yeah, when you fill these hitches up in a sense this will slide into your receiver just like on your pickup or any of your tow vehicle. Got the two, two and a half, three inch. You're not having to run reducers or anything like that. So we've got no air in this one here to where you can see it's free, there's a gap here. So you essentially just slide this in and then as you put your trailer on here, it's gonna push down and compress that airbag. Then all you do is you'll fill it up just till this mainframe starts touching this rear cushion again. And then you're set. And then now while you're doing that, now this paddle is clamped underneath that receiver, which then is locked that hitch in, which is giving you essentially your built in anti-rattle. Brad And that way the airbag can really do all of it 'cause it's nice and solid here and that bag's gonna get- Hunter Exactly. Brad All of that movement. That bag has taken all that now to where, I mean, you know, if you don't have really an anti-rattle here, that play in there is taking an effect to when that cushioning is actually gonna start in a sense too. So, you know, if you've got a bunch of play there, the cushioning is only doing so much with what it can do there. So you bet. Yep. And you guys, obviously you can see on the sign here, but you guys have tons of different applications. So pintle, different balls, combo, a little bit of everything. Yeah, we've offered a, you know, we've really worked hard on getting a very vast variety of attachments for any towing option that you have all, like you said, our combo balls definitely are most popular. Our pintle are right behind it, but like we got rise mounts, drop mounts, we have attachments with sway bars on there. So if you run an anti-sway easy hookup there, egg-based stuff, clevis, drawbars, we got a cushion drawbar. So, yeah, we've really focused hard on making sure that we have very universal attachments for all of our stuff to help in any towing situation. So. Brad And USA made USA made always. Awesome. Well thank you Hunter for taking the time to break down Shocker Hitch and all of the products. Appreciate. Fantastic stuff. Appreciate you guys you stopping. Have a great one, all right Thank you.

Very please with the service you guys are great
Works great!
Awesome hitch!! Has been a game changer for me pulling trailers!!
Yes, the hitch arrived today. Thanks for getting it shipped out so quickly.
It looks great. I just hope it works as well as it looks! :)
I'll be testing the hitch out this coming week on a 1,500+ mile trip with a large enclosed car hauler and I will gladly leave a review once I get back.
Great product. Really makes a differenc e!
I could tell the difference the first time I used this hitch. It took the jarring from rough roads out of front seats and cushioned the ride nicely. I would recommend this hitch to anyone who has a fair amount of hitch weight. Lighter hitch weights probably wouldn’t work for you.
We have a Sporttrek 292VRB we pull. Tongue weight is around 950 pounds with our stuff in the front compartment. Nothing short of outstanding!! My wife and I went from riding what seemed like a bull ride to riding in what seemed like a high dollar luxury vehicle! It absolutely made that much difference for us. To add to the enjoyment, it was easy to install and have had no problems towing. I have done a lot of bumper pulling or towing and it’s like an imp is riding in whatever I am towing and pumping brakes and causing all the jerking!! This hitch stopped it and the little imp had to go find someone else to aggravate!
I think we have them on four or five of our trucks Next Level comfort with heavy trailers. If you can afford it don’t question it get one!
Very good item, easy used and work well. Thank you very much. Its very helpful
Thanks Joshua for your help with getting the shocker hitch and returning the weight distribution hitch. You were very helpful and understanding with my concern about the weight distribution hitch not working because of the poor condition of a lot of the roads and interstates that I travel.
I still havent recieved the ball for the hitch
