Anyone who’s towed down a bumpy stretch knows how jarring those hits can be. The Shocker Hitch Air Ball Mount uses a built-in air bag and cushioned bumpers to soak up road shock that standard metal hitches send straight through your truck and trailer. That suspension-style cushioning keeps the ride smooth and helps protect your vehicle and trailer from unnecessary wear and tear. The air pressure is adjustable, so you can fine-tune it for different trailer weights and loads.
Level towing makes everything feel steadier, from braking to cornering. This mount gives you up to a 2" rise or 2" drop, so you can dial in the perfect height for whatever you’re pulling. Five available drop positions let you quickly adjust for different trailer heights, keeping your setup balanced and handling predictable every time you tow.
Heavy-duty jobs need a hitch that won’t flinch. With a 10,000 lbs gross towing weight rating and 1,000 lbs maximum tongue weight, this mount is made for serious towing. The frame itself is rated for up to 12,000 lbs GTW when used with a higher-capacity ball. Grade 50 steel plates, a cold-rolled steel shank, and a zinc-plated 2" steel ball all add up to maximum durability. The powder-coated finish helps resist rust and road grime so it stays strong season after season.
That constant clank of metal-on-metal towing gets old fast. The air bag and bumper system in this setup dampen movement between truck and trailer, cutting down noise and rattle that other mounts can’t avoid. The grease zerk at the pivot point makes it easy to keep everything moving smoothly, so every trip feels more controlled and quiet.
Switching between trailers doesn’t have to mean wrestling with tools or pins you can’t grab. This mount’s large D-handles make height changes simple—just unclip the pins, slide the ball platform to your desired position, reinsert, and secure. With three easy-to-remove adjustment pins included, setting up for your next haul takes only a minute before you’re ready to tow again.

Hello, neighbors. It's Brad here from Etrailer and today I'm at N.A.T.M and this convention brings a lot of the vendors that we have at Etrailer to a convention where we have their booths and their products set up. I had a chance to catch up with quite a few of them. So let's take a look at their products a little bit up close in, ask some of the questions to those vendors about their products. I'm here with Hunter from Shocker Hitch and they have some products that really stand out from any other towing components. They have some cool technology.
So first and foremost, Hunter, what is Shocker Hitch So Shocker Hitch, what we do is we essentially take the air ride concept that's been around for a long time and we're putting it on a trailer hitch. Now in a sense we're taking that connection and sending it through an airbag now, kinda letting the pickup and trailer do their own thing going down the road instead of fighting each other. So now what we're doing is we're absorbing that energy that transfers between the two, sending it through our airbag. So now it's not going through the frames of everything, which then it creates a smooth ride for you. Creates a smooth ride for what's in or on the trailer.
Plus then it just helps with longevity of the equipment. You know, now we're taking care of the equipment and not having all that shock go through and you know, drive, train, welds, I mean all that stuff. You betcha. Yeah. Yeah.
And that's as he mentioned, you know, as you tow a lot of people look for truck suspension enhancements or things along those nature, but having the connection point where two metal objects hit have cushion, you're right, it translates to that whatever you have race cars, horses, whatever it may be, that's gonna keep all of your components that you have on your trailer safe down the road. Right. Yep. Yeah. And most, you know, most of the convention, like the air suspension on your pickup of your trailer, that's an up and down cushioning effect that they're doing there.
Our hitch we are doing some up and down, but the true focus on our hitch is the forward and back tug that you're getting and that's where we're essentially being a great compliment to those systems with ours is you got the up and down with the majority of that, then you're getting that tug and cushion with ours. So ball mounts. Hunter Yep. You just kind of offer, obviously, you know, you hook it up, you'd be able to tow your trailer and have that cushioning, but also as you fill it doesn't, it kinda acts as an anti-rattle at the same time, doesn't it Yeah, exactly. So our bumper hitches are kind of our staple, you know, this was the first product that we came out with and then everything else kind of followed. So this was our staple and this is what we've really focused on for. I shouldn't say really focused, but this has been kind of our staple for a long time. So yeah, when you fill these hitches up in a sense this will slide into your receiver just like on your pickup or any of your tow vehicle. Got the two, two and a half, three inch. You're not having to run reducers or anything like that. So we've got no air in this one here to where you can see it's free, there's a gap here. So you essentially just slide this in and then as you put your trailer on here, it's gonna push down and compress that airbag. Then all you do is you'll fill it up just till this mainframe starts touching this rear cushion again. And then you're set. And then now while you're doing that, now this paddle is clamped underneath that receiver, which then is locked that hitch in, which is giving you essentially your built in anti-rattle. Brad And that way the airbag can really do all of it 'cause it's nice and solid here and that bag's gonna get- Hunter Exactly. Brad All of that movement. That bag has taken all that now to where, I mean, you know, if you don't have really an anti-rattle here, that play in there is taking an effect to when that cushioning is actually gonna start in a sense too. So, you know, if you've got a bunch of play there, the cushioning is only doing so much with what it can do there. So you bet. Yep. And you guys, obviously you can see on the sign here, but you guys have tons of different applications. So pintle, different balls, combo, a little bit of everything. Yeah, we've offered a, you know, we've really worked hard on getting a very vast variety of attachments for any towing option that you have all, like you said, our combo balls definitely are most popular. Our pintle are right behind it, but like we got rise mounts, drop mounts, we have attachments with sway bars on there. So if you run an anti-sway easy hookup there, egg-based stuff, clevis, drawbars, we got a cushion drawbar. So, yeah, we've really focused hard on making sure that we have very universal attachments for all of our stuff to help in any towing situation. So. Brad And USA made USA made always. Awesome. Well thank you Hunter for taking the time to break down Shocker Hitch and all of the products. Appreciate. Fantastic stuff. Appreciate you guys you stopping. Have a great one, all right Thank you.

Great addition to my towing capabilities! This Shocker Hitch takes the jolt out of hauling heavy loads and quiets the ride of an empty trailer. The two-pin ball release is quick to swap out for other sizes that are needed for different trailers.
Excellent products, shipping, and customer support!
Awesome hitch once u figure out the air adjusting aspect...little tricky to figure at first but once u get it it's a game changer
Works well with all my trailers. From my 30 ft. RV to my 8 x 5 trailer.
Smooth ride no matter what I'm hauling.
Very impressed with this unit. It arrived well packaged and prepared for easy installation. The instructions by video QR code was short and to the point. Literally 20 minutes after opening the package I was ready to hook up the trailer.
Quality product and service! It fits my truck like a glove and I can't wait to put it on my camper. I had a question and Jason was responsive answering my phone call getting the answer I needed. The hitch is solid and looks like it will last.
Arrived on time in good shape with lots of online tutorials.
From Shocker and Etrailer very well built.
Will get to use it next week. Expect good things as credible reviews have proceeded purchase
Using this on a 2021 f150. The first one I received had the valve stem broken off and the box looked beaten up and retaped. A second one was sent out quickly after I documented it. Sent the first one back. Just took a long trip, and two things to consider if you have a stock f150. The hitch is too low to the ground, so you need some suspension modification. Also, your tow chain hooks will get stuck between the air bag and the hitch frame, causing the air bag to loose its air. Thankfully it didn’t puncture, but you will need some type of extension hardware to keep the hook away from the airbag. All in all, not worth the headaches and expense for me.
