I finally had the opportunity to install this product, but it didn’t fit properly. Its the correct width, however my bicycle has a un rounded axle fork hole, so the product does not fit and i dont want to damage the bike. I should have checked before installing. Im disappointed. Please check your application.
Did not fit correctly. The 12mm hole through the adapter was the correct diameter at the ends but the axle (actually tried two axles) would not slide through. Either the hole is too small in the interior or poorly aligned. I reamed the hole with slightly smaller drill bit and round file to make it fit, but total PITA. Need to get a better source for this item and have them do some basic QC.
Like two other reviewers say here, it doesn’t fit. It really must be poorly made. Both of my 12mm axles go half way then won’t go any further. Tried grease, tried a mallet.... not budging.
Guess I need to go buy a $xx.xx file so I can use this $xx.xx part... yay.
This product is well made and fit my application perfectly. Customer service at etrailer is outstanding.
One of the three 12 mm adaptors that I ordered would not permit the bike’s 12 mm thru-axel to pass through. But, it only took me a few minutes with a round file to ream out the high spot that was inside of that adaptor. Then, the adapter worked beautifully.
Best fork mount on the market. Easy to swap inserts. Solid build
Did not fit my fork grrr - but good quality product & price if it fits yours:)
