Hi, there, I'm Michael with etrailer.com Today, we're gonna take a quick look at this Superwinch replacement remote control socket. This is going to replace the original remote control socket for your Superwinch winch. This will work with several different Superwinch models including the Tiger Shark, the 9,500 pound winches and the 11,500 pound winches, as well as the LP8500 and the LP10000, as well as the UT3000 winch. This is a direct replacement from Superwinch so you can trust. It's gonna integrate well. You do not have to worry about compatibility issues or anything like that.
So your remote control will just slide onto that opening there. You've got those three prongs are ready to receive that. As far as getting this installed, they do have the white and black wires have that spade female receiver are there. So it should be just as simple as pulling it off of the original, putting those prongs in there. And then our red wire is gonna have this ring terminal so we can easily get that mounted in place as well.
They do have a replacement hardware here for you so you can get the plug mounted on your winch just like the original was. And, of course, the cap is included as well. So when you're not using the remote, you cover that up and protect your connection points from any moisture and dirt and that sort of thing. So it should be very easy to get this replaced. Basically, just removing the old one and putting this one in its spot should do a really good job of allowing you that solid connection point again, for your remote.
So if the original has become damaged or whatever the case may be, this is gonna be a great option to get you up and operational again. So that's gonna complete our look for today. Again, I'm Michael with etrailer.com, thanks for watching..

Includes flip-down dust cap.Superwinch/Westin Automotive markets these as the replacement socket for the LP8500 but the terminals are wrong for my model. I ended up cutting and splicing with heat-shrink butt connectors to fix my winch. Physical fit is correct, and color coding was correct. My winch is working perfectly again.

The replacement remote control socket received was a direct replacement and was easily installed. After almost a year, it's still holding up great. Thanks.

Since the last review I havent used my winch except to re-spool the line back onto the drum. I dont care much for the design of the remote cable connection though as the plastic socket is a weak spot and any significant side tension placed on the remote cable could break it where the socket meets the mounting flange.
The replacement remote control socket went on my Super Winch and put me back in service. Right part, right price and fast shipping, thanks!

Part worked great. But what I like even more is the updates I was receiving from E Trailer about the status of my order.
I ordered this part on Monday it was in my mailbox on thursday. Can not ask for better service then that. I ordered this socket as a backup to one i ordered 2 weeks ago. That one worked so well that I wanted to have an extra for later use. I was able to match my socket from a Silverback series winch to this socket. Worked perfectly as a replacement. I will continue to order parts from Etrailer.
