Hey everyone, it's Evangeline here at etrailer. Today we're taking a look at the cargo tray add-on for the Jack-IT Original or Jack-IT Plus A-frame bases. We'll see some of its features and how it's used here at etrailer.com. If you're not already familiar with the Let's Go Aero Jack-IT, it is a base that goes onto the jack of your A-frame trailer. It is sold as a bike rack, so the cargo tray is going to be an add-on for that bike rack. Something you switch one out for an other when you want to carry cargo instead of your bikes.
While commonly marketed as used with generators, if it's within 100 pounds and fits within the dimensions of 29 inches and a half, as well as 19 inches and a quarter, which is our tray dimensions, you can carry it with this tray. Around the sides you have this 2 inch tall lip and this is a fold over lip, also made of steel. Then you have different tie-down points within it. So this gives you some different options for what you want to attach. Most commonly used with the hooks for your ratchet straps.
I've also noticed some holes alongside the bottom of the tray, and this is something that you could use with carriage bolts, if you wanna create your own tie-down points. As something that's gonna be stored outside in the elements on your trailer, this is made of steel, but it also has this really well done powder coat finish all throughout. That powder coat is very important because another thing too is we've had this out here in the sun and it still feels not scalding to the touch. So if you are carrying cargo and you don't want it to overheat, it's nice to have a quality tray. To get this installed, you're first gonna have to remove your V-wing bike rack.
So do so by undoing the bolts that's holding the shank into your receiver, and then lift the rack up and out. And then your tray installs into that square tube. We're gonna do is we're gonna mount it in this direction. (metal clanking) I appreciate that dropping it into place instantly lines up the holes on either side of the receiver tube. You can use the included hitch pin and secure it side-to-side, or front-to-back, whichever makes more sense for you.
I like side-to-side just because then it doesn't stick out and I can get full access to my jack. I like it offetted to the side because that makes it easier for loading. Just make sure to grab your straps before you put your cargo on, and let's go hit the road. That right there was a look at the Let's Go Aero cargo tray add-on for your Let's Go Aero Jack-IT Original or Jack-IT Plus bike racks here etrailer.com.
