Hello, everybody. This is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today we're gonna take a look at the PullRite custom installation kit with the base rails for your fifth wheel trailer hitches. And this has a 16,000 pound gross towing weight capacity. Now this is a custom fit part. It is designed to fit the 2016 and newer Ram 1500 trucks with the six and a half foot bed.

And on a custom fit part like this, I do like to recommend for you to go to our website, use the fit guide, put in your year and model vehicle, and it'll show you if this will work for your application. Now this installation kit will let you mount your fifth wheel trailer hitch in the bed of your truck. The mounting brackets, which I've attached to the rails, these will install beneath your truck bed. And they provide the attachment points for the above bed base rails. The base rails right here, these will provide the necessary mounting points for your fifth wheel hitch to mount into.

Now the mounting brackets on the side here, these are custom fit mounting brackets. They mount to existing holes in your vehicle frame. So that'll help minimize drilling and measuring, reduces the installation time and it'll also avoid known obstacles along your truck's frame. One thing I do wanna mention is the best feature on these PullRite brackets are the built-in tabs that are just below the slotted bolt hole. Basically these tabs eliminate one of your biggest problems you'll run into when you install mounting brackets to your vehicle.

Basically this is how to keep those nuts in place when you're installing the bolts of the mounting brackets through here. And I did wanna zoom in just so we can show you a little bit closer to what we're talking about. If I turn this over, you can see where the bolt comes through. So basically if you notice, here's the mounting bracket. So this mounting bracket has this extra tab that's put in there and you see that tab, it is bendable.

So basically what you can do is you can bend this tab down, slide your nut in there, bend your tab back, and then when your bolt comes through. It'll go right into there and you can tighten it down and that tab will hold it in place. So that's a nice feature they thought about because lots of times when you're installing these on vehicles, there's not a lot of room or area to access that to be able to hold those nuts in place. Again, I'll pop up an insert just to show you what we're talking about. There's that underside again, you can see how the nut slides into that opening and that bracket will hold it in place when you put your bolt through. Now this kit is compatible with B&W Patriot, CURT, Demco, Draw-Tite, Hidden Hitch Husky, PullRite and Reese above bed fifth wheel hitches. The finish on these parts, that's nice black powder coated steel, makes it corrosion resistant. And it does include everything shown here, the two base rails, the custom mounting brackets, all the hardware you need for installation, and a real nice set of detailed instructions for installing it. These parts are made in the USA and as we've mentioned, the gross towing weight capacity on this kit is 16,000 pounds.
