What Type of Fifth Wheel Rails Does PullRite Super 5th Wheel Hitch Fit

Updated 04/01/2026 | Published 03/25/2026

Question:

Can you tell me the dimension between the pins. My truck already has rails installed, I do not know the brand. My truck is a 2008 GMC Sierra 2500HD. I just want to be sure the pullrite pins will work with my rails.

Hey Pete, the PullRite fifth wheel hitch part # PUL48RR was designed to fit the industry standard above bed rails that are 22 inches a part from front rail to back rail measures on center. The easy way to find out if this hitch will fit your rails will be to check out the picture I attached down below. If what you have looks like whats in the picture this hitch will work great and fit perfectly. If you have something different email me back with a picture and I'll take a look.

As Jameson stated- " designed to fit the industry standard above bed rails that are 22 inches a part from front rail to back rail measures on center." That's what mine are- 22" spacin designed to fit the industry standard above bed rails that are 22 inches a part from front rail to back rail measures on center center to center of rail- . If your truck had rails before the hitch should fit with no problem.

Yes my above rails match the picture and is 22" center to center. What 5th wheel setup do you recommend for a 5th wheel that weighs 10,000 loaded and is 30' long. My truck is a 2008 GMC Sierra 2500HD with the rails installed.

@Pete The PullRite part # PUL48RR isn't a bad option at all. But do you have a long or short bed? Reason I ask is we need to find out for sure if you need a slider hitch or not.

@Pete a slider hitch might be needed then. Does your fifth wheel trailer have a tapered nose? You can also send me the info on it and I can look that up for you.
