This Super 5th is made for serious towing. It’s rated for 16,000 lbs gross towing weight and a 4,000 lbs vertical load limit, giving you the strength and stability needed for heavy 5th-wheel trailers. The black powder coated steel resists corrosion, while the solid fixed design delivers dependable performance every mile. When you’re hauling heavy, you want a hitch that feels solid from the moment you roll out—this one does.
Hooking up is quick and worry-free thanks to the automatically latching jaw and locking handle. As soon as the king pin slides in, the jaw closes tight and the handle locks itself in place. That wraparound, precisely laser-cut jaw design holds the pin firmly to cut down on rattle and movement compared to slide-bar jaws. Once it’s locked, you can drop the padlock (sold separately) through the handle for extra peace of mind when parked.
The dual-articulating head takes out a lot of the roughness from the ride. It pivots both front-to-back and side-to-side, letting your trailer move naturally over uneven roads or while turning. This helps minimize chucking so things stay quieter and smoother during long hauls. It’s a small touch that makes a big difference when you spend hours behind the wheel.
Getting your trailer level is simpler with three height settings built into the hitch. You can fine-tune between 16" and 19" to match your setup and keep good bed rail clearance. Whether you’re dialing it in for a new trailer or just fine-tuning for comfort, having that built-in adjustment keeps your rig level and stable when hooked up.
When it’s time to open up your truck bed, the Super 5th separates into two pieces so you can remove it without heavy lifting gear. The base weighs about 85 lbs and the removable hitch plate around 25 lbs, keeping each piece manageable to move or store. That modular design makes it practical for anyone who switches between towing mode and everyday truck use.

Hello everybody, this is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today, we're gonna take a look at this PullRite custom installation kit with the base rails for your fifth wheel trailer hitches, has a 20,000 pound gross towing weight capacity. Now, this is a custom fit part. This is designed to fit the 2019 and newer Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra 1500 trucks that have the 6-1/2 foot bed. And on a custom fit part like this, I do like to recommend for you to go to our website, use the fit guide, put in your year and model vehicle, and I'll show if this will work for your application. Now this installation kit, this will let you mount your fifth wheel trailer hitch in the bed of your truck.
The mounting brackets which have installed onto the rails, these will install beneath your truck bed and they provide the attachment points for your above bed base rails to connect to. And the base rails is what'll provide the necessary mounting points for your fifth wheel hitch. Now the brackets over here, these are custom fit mounting brackets, they're designed to mount to existing holes in your vehicle's frame. This will help minimize drilling and measuring, reduces installation time, and it even avoids known obstacles along your truck's frame. Now on this PullRite system, what I like about it, one of the best features on it is they have these built-in tabs right here that are located just below the slotted bolt holes.
And I wanted to show you, we're gonna zoom in so I can show you a little bit closeup of it, might be still hard to see, but if you look right down here, there's a little extra piece of metal. And what those tabs do is you can bend them down and you can put the nut, you can slide the nut in here. When you go put your bolt in, you slide the nut in there and then bend that tab back up and it'll hold that nut in place. So when you go to install the bolt in there, you don't have to try to access it. Lots of times when you're installing these mounting brackets in your base rails, there's not enough room to access that and it gets to be a hassle.
So what they've tried to do is eliminate that by using these tabs. And I wanna try to show you the underside. If I pop up the sensor, that's what the underside looks like. You can see how the tab right here sort of has a cutout in it that'll hold that nut in place. So when you put your bolt in, it'll hold it to tighten it down.
Very nice feature to have. Now, this kit is compatible with PullRite, B&W Patriot, CURT, Demco, Draw-Tite, Hidden Hitch, Husky, and even the Reese above bed fifth wheel hitches. This parts are a black powder coated steel. They are corrosion resistant. It does include everything shown here on the table. The two base rails, the custom mounting brackets, all the hardware you need for installation, and even nice installation instructions that'll describe how this all goes together. Now these parts are made in the USA. And again, the gross towing weight capacity is 20,000 pounds. But that's gonna do it for a review on this PullRite custom installation kit with the base rails for your fifth wheel trailer hitches.
